For anyone who can stand to watch the awkwardness a second time, Joe Scarborough's reaction is priceless: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036789/#49175851
Depressing. This guy has pretty much exhausted every which way to lie known to man at this point. He even goes as far as to lie by saying his opponent is lying when he is telling the truth.
I think I now better understand his appeal to folks like bigflexx, basso, gwayneco, and the like. Cognitive dissonance for the win.
Also, here is a good illustration of Mitt's dilemma: McKay Coppins @mckaycoppins As Romney begins his riff about how both he and Obama care about the people of America, some in the crowd disagree: "No!" they shout. This, btw, is a line from his new ad trying to recover from the "don't care about the 47%" comment. http://andrewsullivan.thedailybeast.com/2012/09/romney-goes-re-direct.html Trying to say he cares about people as much as the other side... And this gets some GOP wing nut mad.
Give me a R O Give me a O B Give me a M A Give me a N M Give me a E A Give me a Y NO What's that spell? OBAMA What's that spell? FOUR MORE YEARS
The Scarborough facepalm could gain some traction as a new Internet meme. Btw, if you haven't had a chance to watch Jon Stewart's latest bit, you should.
Rendel made some merciful points for him, but his party is being run by corporate enablers who pander to idiots, bigots, and lunatics. He can't be himself.
Has this been posted? http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politic...-grows-six-in-10-rate-his-efforts-negatively/ Mitt, America doesn't like you.
I don't think this particular poll says people don't like Mitt (other polls do). Lots of people said they don't like how Mitt campaigned, Most are Obama voters, but a bog chunk are probably Romney/GOP voters who are disappointed at Mitt for various tactical reasons (not tough enough on Obama, etc.). Kind of like lots of liberals didn't like the ACA cuz it didn't have single payer, public option, etc.
you should probably learn how to spell. That spells "ObamaNO".. are you trying to say "No Obama"? now that I can support
