LOL i chuckled, but yes i did make a profit. you are definitely right, never be greedy when you are in the market. i always tell myself that.
Skullcandy (SKUL) anyone? I have seen their headphones at a variety of electronic stores (small, big, retail, office). I think this is a stock I want to purchase because of what I see on the shelf. They also have high YOY revenue growth, and retail credit/spending looks good despite the recession. Green Mountain Coffee (GMCR) as well? I have heard they could lose revenue due to patent expirations on their K-cups but the market growth looks great. My aunt and uncle own a Keurig and buy the cups all the time. Their children have moved out, so now they have time to make a cup of "gourmet" coffee rather than sufferring with a store brand or buying the more expensive on-the-go Starbucks. I think they represent the highest growth potential for GRMCR's P&G razor blade model: the aging childless-home baby-boomers. I am thinking of taking long positions on these stocks as I see good growth in their respective markets for the next several years.
not sure about the skull candy. i read somewhere that with apple updating the earbuds that comes with their product, a lot people may not be willing to spend additional money for another set of headphones.
SVNT still looking like a buy even tho it jumped 1.50 in only month https://www.google.com/finance?q=NASDAQ:SVNT&ei=9qpYUJC7MJCelgOzWQ sold NOK yesterday at 2.97, locked in profits looking to rebuy at 2.80 again
Amel- to confirm, you did say you are holding NOK long term right? i am thinking about buying more options with NOK.
I am usually selling and rebuying.. a week go NOK dropped almost 16% so I had to stay with it until it got me into positive territory... I still think its a good long term investment, but I like flipping money so I do sell high, buy low. Like I said, possibly $4 bucks by years end.
purchased 2.5k of SVNT on monday at 2.14 the price today 2.50 trolololol.. Someone gambling big money...
stock is at 2.73 right now..Placed a stop limit at 2.60 to collect unfortunately too many shorts are currently placed on NOK...I hope it does not lose to much until the Nokia 920 hits the streets, right now at 2.71
Man, this thing fell like a rock, wtf is going on? SVNT is up 35 cents this morning trololol http://www.google.com/finance?q=NASDAQ:SVNT&ei=hqJgUPD1EoPIlAOlBg
took a loss and got out of NOK. i think i got it way too late. lol. get in AAPL then out before the next earnings report.
Not a trader, but I was watchin CCTV (a Chinese station).. Starbucks w/ a 30% increase from last year in China (also higher profit margin than US), and they will triple the # of stores there in the next 2 years. Yearly chart showing 1-2-3 bottom formation
LOL **** AAPL. i lost all the money that i made and then some. debating whether i should buy even more shares. LOL probably should just wait it out until it gets back to over 700.
Placed a stop successfully for the first time and sold at 2.76, was almost 2k in plus then re-bought 1k at 2.85 and am currently down by 400 bucks..
LOL sold my share at 2.77, it was downgraded yesterday from some BS analyst.. now that AAPL is slowing down, seems like everyone else is
seems like a pretty risky place to get back long. it's rallied back to resistance and just went thru a massive move to the upside. 2.00 seems to be a lot safer place to get back long if you want to be in this trade.
That downgrade wasn't just a minor one. Analysts rarely give out sell ratings on stocks. Anytime a sell rating is issued by an analyst it should be listened too. Sure they may not be correct, but they can usually provide some good insight.
