Player movement is definitely slower and more sim-esque, but it sometimes feels too unresponsive, especially on onball defense. Can be hard to follow your opponent when he spin dribbles and ish. Really liking the demo right now, but have a fear they will do it like every year and kill the sliders with the first update, always got way faster and more arcade after release.
Made a textbook charge at halfcourt and got called a blocking foul, seems they didn't fix that. Made one succesfully on transition though.
Okay, onball defense is a pain in the azz with the sluggish player movement, really hard to defend when both guys are capable of the better dribble moves. Big minus.
Can't get my hands on the demo until Thursday, so I appreciate the feedback Yung-T! Anybody know if the fast break mechanics are better?? Such as lane filling, cutting to the basket, etc.?
Definitely better, but the slow passing really can be a pain in the azz, like in 2k12. Other than that, good player movement on transition and lots of opportunities, alley oops seem to easy though. Really like the layup contact animations, feels incredibly realistic. Played some more games and have to say some guys have shots that you just can't get down, see Thabo. Biggest minus so far is the player movement that's a bit too unresponsive on defense in my opinion, other than that, great game.
Also posterized guys like crazy with Bron, using the spin for an open lane. Didn't matter that Durant+Perkins or Ibaka were in my face, Bron still dunks it with ease.
Greatly improved, feel very natural and there are tons of variations and animations for them. Had one situation where Ibaka came out of nowhere to swat it into the crowd. Gripe is that you recover super slowly after a block attempt and in general need too long to pull one off.
Still? I hate that. It's impossible to stop a dunk in that game, even if you get in front of it and time the jump.
I feel like 2k Insider should be replaced with a panel of 4 or 5 people giving thier input. obviously the insider cannot judge talent
No one knows, it's not Ronnie. Probably a poor guy from the team with no knowledge that they decided to throw in as insider, even though he doesn't want it. Otherwise this is not explainable.
No. It's some other dude. But give it a little bit of time and they'll get the rankings better for the most part. But the 2K Insider does have a serious tendancy to give out some lifetime achievement awards. If you're an aging veteran, you're given at least a 5-6 point increase from what it should be.
One guy just quit on me with 2sec left smh. Seriously, you quittin in a freakin demo lmao?! One good thing: You can do a good job forcing out of bounds turnovers this time, no invisible field keeping the players in court if they are near the side lines and getting bumped.
