Thankfully not. The PRC leadership is fairly pragmatic. They are stoking this issue to some extent for domestic interests but I highly doubt they will go to war. The Japanese government definitely wants to keep the islands but has prevented development of them to try not to inflame things. Neither government wants war only nationalist on both sides.
When some people become older and older at certain age, they behave more and more like a kid. AKA, Benjamin Button.
Why don't you try reading comprehension before conjuring a history lesson? First, I stated "current government" ambition as indicated in recent clashes with neighbors including Vietnam and Philippines. You ever been in these countries? Unless you're a member of CCP you don't know shiat about China ambition. Check the facts before accusing me of having no clue.
Aren't Vietnam and Philippine carry the same ambition, to say the least? My advice, unless they're really onto something, the little monkeys should not mess with the dragon.
You meant Zheng He http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zheng_He Zhuge Liang is the lengendary strategist during the three kingdom period. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zhuge_Liang
Hahaha, from the person who is using "Great Nihon Empire" 大日本 as signature and with the quote: "As king, you must have stronger desires than anyone else. You must be more magnificent, more easily angered than everyone else! He should be both pure and chaotic, a man who was more real than any other man. Only through this, could your subjects be impressed by the king, and only this, would the message of 'if only I was king, that would be wondrous' would be imprinted upon the people’s heart!”" Ah... I see you still worship your king and willing to be his subject to conquer the whole world again. Japanese can fool Americans and the western world and pretend JSDF is weak so they need protection, but you cannot fool other Asian neighbours such as Korea, China, and Russia.
And if you could actually read, you might actually realize that the very presence of the word "king" might indicate that that quote has nothing to do with Japan and is simply a quote from a book I liked. Furthermore, "Great Japan" is simply an elaborate form of Japan. If I had said , 大日本帝国 or 大東亜共栄圏, that might actually indicate that I want it back and would be problematic. Btw, are you actually going to provide evidence on your claim that Russia's backing you guys on this particular issue or will you continue to bs?
Every time Kojirou is in this thread, all I hear is his moans: "Oh China is sooo big!" "Oh China is sooo strong!" Worshipping Yasukuni has taken his toll on him, because now it seems he's face down, ass up all the time. Can someone help this poor kid out?
I never said Russia backing me up... delusional much? I was just saying both Korea and Russia will not back down from their border dispute with Japan. They are actually much tougher and hawkish to get things done to protect their own border. Only Communist China would even let things stay status quo. That's why we are losing lands here and there as showed by the map I previously posted. The before Original Map of China (Governed by KMT) vs current China (Governed by Communist).
So, let me get this right. You're implying you're a member of the CCP? Because then your own words apply to you as well. You don't know shiat either.
http://worldnews.nbcnews.com/_news/...t-guard-over-disputed-islands?lite&ocid=msnhp Taiwanese ships clash with Japanese coast guard over disputed islands About 50 Taiwanese vessels on Tuesday entered waters near a group of uninhabited islands at the center of a bitter territorial dispute involving Japan, China and Taiwan. Japanese public broadcaster NHK showed footage of a Japanese coast guard ship shooting water at a Taiwanese fishing boat, while a Taiwanese patrol vessel blasted water at the coast guard ship in reply during an incident near the disputed Senkaku or Diaoyu islands, as they are known respectively in Japan and China/Taiwan. The Taiwanese vessels – 40 fishing boats and 10 coast guard ships – entered the waters to protest the recent Japanese government's purchase of the islands from a private owner. But by noon Tuesday all of the Taiwanese vessels had left the area, the Japanese coast guard said, after claiming their rights to fish in the area. The islands were nationalized by the Japanese government this month after it emerged that the outspoken governor of Tokyo, Shintaro Ishihara, had been in negotiations with the islands' owner to seal a more provocative deal by promising to build an emergency port for Japanese fishermen and various weather and communications facilities. Osamu Fujimura, Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary, said during a morning press conference that Japan had lodged a protest with Taiwan. "In terms of the security surrounding the Senkaku Islands, we will continue to work together with the relevant ministries with a sense of alertness, and gather various information and vigilantly monitor the situation," he said. "Our position is that this needs to be resolved under framework of our friendly ties with Taiwan, and to deal with the situation calmly," he added. While few experts expect a military confrontation, an unintended clash at sea would increase tension, although all sides are expected to try to manage the spat before it spirals out of control. NBC News emailed Taiwan's foreign ministry requesting comment on the incident and received a reply saying, "Thank you for your concerns about the issue, and please be patient for our further response." The islands are also claimed by China, which has long regarded Taiwan as a breakaway province that is actually part of China. Meanwhile in China, Japan's Vice-Foreign Minister Chikao Kawai began talks with his Chinese counterpart, Zhang Zhijun, the first diplomatic meeting between the two countries since anti-Japanese riots erupted over 100 cities across China amid rising tensions over the Senkaku/Diaoyu islands. Before Tuesday's meeting, the Japanese envoy told journalists that he planned to explain Japan's position in a frank manner. "Considering the difficult situation involving Sino-Japanese relations, we would like to do our best to move our relationship forward,” Kawai said. A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman on Monday suggested that a resolution of the dispute would be difficult. "China will elaborate on its position on the Diaoyu Islands, demand that Japan correct its mistakes and make efforts to improve Sino-Japanese relations,” Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hong Lei said, according to the UPI news service. from an outsider's standpoint, i would prefer that taiwan or china take control of these islands. if only to spare them from japan's penchant for overfishing and whaling/dolphin killing practices.
