Meh...when I was a kid I loved writing sci fantasy stories, and my stories already had most of these things (kitchen table is a computer, bathroom mirror = screen). I would so love it if they could actually build a house like that though...
Wonder what the cost would be for a house like that? I don't think a few of things will be common pretty soon.
I would have serious burns with that stove. I guess some people are too dumb to evolve. You jerk, Darwin.
Bunch of yuppies. I look forward to a future where Americans are told to buy more products that decrease productivity and waste more electricity. USA! USA! USA!
@ :50 ... she types "OKYES" and doesn't tap the space bar and the little application knows she meant "ok yes" with a space? What if I wanted to type OKINAWA...? what is this B.S. nonsense?!?!?! Also, who the F checks their WORK schedule from their mother EFFIN' bathroom? This is why I left from my last job... you don't pay me to work at home, WORK... eff you. Lastly, why would I need directions to my own work? Don't I already know how to get there?
I'd rather live in a cabin I built with my manly hands in the middle of nowhere enjoying the cool natural air, and run 5 km to the nearest bus stop to get to work, and heat myself with a classic fireplace when it's cold at night, and eat from a home garden at the back of the cabin.
Either the sci-fi dreams were A LITTLE too optimistic. OR we're actually "behind" in a lot of these innovations. I think its more the 2nd really, lot of these things could or should have been more commonplace. The problem is actual costs and such. And rebuilding entire infrastructures to support the new innovations, doing away with old to have the new. And people. And then its who gets it and who doesnt. You can have one tech town full of advancements and everywhere is still in the "dark ages". Then people are more attached to their old safe things than they think.
what if you want to nail the secretary over the table? too many things can go wrong. why not just focus on a damn hover board!
