I think the questions of Matt's talents have been answered for a while. It's his health which the jury is still very much out on. Thank God Albert Haynesworth is out of a job.
Really pissing me off how all the bandwagon Schaub fans are saying he turned the corner. He was having games like this and more in 2009, only difference is the Texans didn't have a good defense then and they do now.
Well they almost blew a 20 point lead so I don't know how that says shaub is clutch. I guess he hit AJ with the game winning 1st down. I guess that counts.
yea, it's not like Schaub had anything to do with the 31 points the Texans scored. oh yea, how is Brees doing with a bad defense that can't stop anyone or create turnovers?
You are going to have to deal with all times of bandwagon fans. It was lonely when we were posting in game threads for all those ****ty years and calling for Kubiaks head. It's still nice to see so many more jerseys bandwagoners or not.
I'm half-convinced all the Schaub detractors are a result of Madden. Freakin' video games providing us with Schaub haters and Terrence William fans. lulz.
that and some local sport talk hosts being fantasy football playing idiots. I used to love fantasy football, still do but some people think it's just that one player and nothing else. It's always been a team game.
I really, really hope my sarcasm meter broken. Otherwise, this has to be one of the most fail-inducing posts I've read on here in a LONG time. Matt Schaub (outside of the interception at the end of the first half) played about as perfect as anybody could have asked. Denver has a damned good defense, with a hell of a front 7. He was freaking putting balls on a dime out there today.
Schaub was outstanding vs Denver. He single handedly relocated Tracy Porter to the Gatorade table for the entire second half.
As a Schaub supporter for a long time now, if there's one thing I'm still not sure about him, it's his ability to throw TDs. The Texans always had a very skewed offensive ranking compared to their points ranking in the years before Foster appeared. And I've always thought that's where he lags most compared to the Brady/Manning/Brees of the world. So in that sense Schaub's performance against Denver was quite positive. Because the past few games I've seen of him, he seemed to have settled into that rich-man's Trent Dilfer role. And it's simply nice to know that he can put up elite performances.
Stop being so melodramatic. Its a freaking internet message board. Shaub had a 115 passer rating. It would be hard to criticize him this game.
