Don't want to start a separate thread for this, but I recently had a road rage incident in the south of France where some guy threw hedge shears through my car window at about 70 mph. There was glass all over the inside of the car and I first thought he had shot at me so I kept my head down, so I didn't get his license plate. Road rage is baaaaad. The other things is, especially in Texas, you don't know whom you are dealing with, so it might be dangerous for you, too.
you could have been nice and just let her in and let the other angry drivers do the freaking out for you. you could have skipped the line and just parked and walked in. or you could have skipped Chick Fil-A altogether
Thank you for your concern Dr. Freud. (I do appreciate the concern even I have to make a joke of it) But I'm okay and my wife is fine. The more I think about it the more I do think there were other issues that just made the situation worse: road rage, every time I've blown up at a stranger (which has happened twice before, and one was retaliatory) I've been behind the wheel (something about being in a car makes me feel safer) and the fact that people cutting in line has screwed me over before (on Black Friday, but that's another story).
This, people hating on this guy for making a scene just or 2 minutes of time must be pushovers. Dude may have went overboard, but in no way do you just let her cut in line freely. No matter what these people will never be CEOs because they'll just let people walk all over them.
Shane battier gonna be president. You think he would react like that? What will Shane do? Wear that bracelet.
lol I've cut in that drive thru line before. The one on West Rd, right? I was out there coming back into town from a trip, was in a hurry, and saw that line and said "yeah right" just relax bro -- some people's time is more valuable than yours
That's why its called road rage. You overreact to something that probably isn't that bad. If this is a one time occurrence then it's probably OK. But it sounds like your rage was triggered more by your wife trying to stop you from expressing your annoyance/anger, not from the lady in the BMW (most BMW drivers are douches). So you need to talk about that with your wife.
Overreaction. But I would have called her a f**king *unt. Hey I don't blame you for getting mad because some people walk around this b**ch acting like you owe them for gracing you with their presence.
Every time I close my eyes, I wake up smellin the numbah five I cant get you outta my mind, boy you make me feel alive Baby this is Texas I want my ****ing food Waffle fries with burgers to put me in the mood WAIT! What you should have done is call the store while you were in line and ask them to send someone out and deal with the line cutters including the black beamer.
French (I guess - I barely even saw the guy, he was tailgating behind me and really aggressive). Some guy driving a gardening pickup truck, which explains the hedge shears. We didn't get to know each other well enough to have a D&D style discussion about his religious affiliation .
Some battles aren't worth fighting. You should have let the whole thing drop, OP...it's not worth it. It's very rarely acceptable to act the way you did in ANY situation. Grow up and act like a mature adult, which includes keeping your emotions under control. Sure, the lady in the BMW was a jerk, but still. Many people in the world act like douches, and there's nothing you can do to change that. Consider yourself fortunate that she didn't pull a gun on you, or that she or someone else in the vicinity didn't call the police. You could have been in serious trouble. I also agree with Apps...your wife may never forget this incident, and she may not look at you quite the same way ever again. Things like this tend to remain in people's minds...especially women. You'd better hope this doesn't lead to deterioration in your marriage.
That is what you get for going to Chick fil a. Other than that next time either get out of the car and beat the #%^* out of the occupants or let it go. You only left a permanent scar on your wife's psyche and ended up losing out on your sugar coated chicken hate sandwich.
