Univision reporter calls out Obama on failed immigration promise

What was the promise exactly? Did he promise that it would happen or did he promise that he would try to make it happen?

If he promised it would happen, then he lied knowing full well that even as President he wouldn't be able to accomplish it without other people's support.

If he promised he would try, then it looks like he tried and you can't ask for much more.

 

Democrats want cheap votes, Republicans want cheap labor, and the middle class foots the bill. What joy.

 

Indeed, this country does not encourage and reward honest hard work anymore. You either take a free ride or slave drive others to get super rich.

 

It's more complicated than that. If an immigrant has no education, they will be limited to low wage labor, yet pull from our government far more aid from social programs than they will ever put back in taxes.

Neocons are OK with this, because they want to bankrupt those programs, and then eliminate them, yet Democrats are so enthralled by millions of new ethnic voters, they ignore the very real consequences of our nation having more people than we can adequately care for.

Neither party is explaining how we're going to pay for the hundreds of thousands of poor immigrants we continue to absorb every single year.

 

You're so full of it on #2. You know darned well that Obama's "you didn't build that" is a complete misrepresentation of what he said, yet you continue to propagate it. Fail.

 

We already have an entire generation of over educated and under paid graduates with debt up to their eyeballs. If the jobs aren't available, it doesn't matter how educated the workforce is.

The premise behind his statement is that somewhere along the way, you received some sort of help. Exactly how is that different than what I said?
