    That's what it means, if that's the way you'd like to see it. But that's not how I see the quote, and the quote doesn't mention saying they will take the rights away from anyone. In fact with separation of church and state there is no way for them to take away anyone's rights. They are free to have whatever beliefs about faith they'd like. I'm free to disagree with them.

    Not at all - you freaked out about something causing you to make your initial post. I still can't figure out what it is,and you don't seem willing to explain.

    Explain what? Speak English man!

    I'll ask you a question...(hypothetically)...if nukeing Mecca and Medina and taking out the major players of Hamas, Hezbollah, the Brotherhood and al-Queada in an all out co-ordinated assault would definitely end world terrorism, fix the Israel situation, bring peace to the middle east and eventually the world...

    Would you be in support of such a military strike to bring peace to the world?

    ~~~~~~
    Btw: I'm not advocating or calling for a nuclear strike on Mecca and Medina, just using the hypotheticals that were presented in the class.
    You are blind. The whole point is, they do not want separation of church and state.
    You apparently missed the second part of his quote:
    But you just keep telling yourself what you want to believe.
    Some facts about CAIR (and yes, they are from thereligionofpeace, but I double-checked them with other sources):
    The Council on American-Islamic Relations
    10 Facts about CAIR
    1) CAIR was created by the Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamic supremacist organization that pioneered 20th century Islamic terrorism and sanctions violence against civilians.
    2) CAIR only has about 5,000 members, despite a membership fee of just $10.
    3) CAIR represents the opinions of only 12% of Muslim-Americans according to a recent Gallup poll. (http://www.examiner.com/article/gallup-poll-reveals-cair-is-all-bark-but-no-bite)
    4) CAIR receives financial support from foreign powers who have provided direct support to Osama bin Laden, al-Qaeda and Hamas.
    5) CAIR has solicited money from sponsors of terror and received financial support from convicted terrorists.
    6) CAIR founders have praised terrorists to Muslim audiences and said that suicide bombers are acting on behalf of Islam.
    7) CAIR has raised funds for terrorists under the guise of helping 9/11 victims.
    8) CAIR board members have called for the overthrow of the United States and the imposition of Islamic law.
    9) At least 15 high-level CAIR staff members have been under federal investigation for ties to Islamic terror.
    10) CAIR has discouraged Muslim-Americans from cooperating with law enforcement and has spent more time and money advocating on behalf of convicted terrorists than for their victims.
    FranchiseBlade, you don't think that is suspect????
    The Religion of Peace C.A.I.R challenge...
    *
    The CAIR Challenge
    We have a standing offer to CAIR that we will take down our entire
    website if this self-proclaimed "civil rights" group will simply answer
    *the following questions having to do with the most basic of human rights: discrimination, profiling, religious freedom, gender equality and terrorism.
    *
    Do you want to see Islamic law eventually in America?* If not, then why not?*
    *
    What is your position on religious profiling?* Do you denounce Saudi Arabia for profiling non-Muslims and preventing them from traveling to Mecca?
    *
    Why do you refuse to condemn the killing of Americans in uniform? *
    *
    Do you believe that it is wrong for Muslims to force members of another religion to pay money to Islam in the form of a jizya tax?*
    *
    Are non-Muslims who reject Muhammad and resist Islamic rule considered to be “innocent persons” in Islam?
    *
    Do you believe women should have the same rights as men?* Should Muslim women be free to marry whomever they choose and wear what they want?
    *
    Hamas has deliberately murdered hundreds of Israeli civilians, including children, and left hundreds more with physical disability, mental impairment (from brain damage) and crippling physical pain.* They have also killed Americans.* Do you condemn Hamas as a terrorist organization?*
    *
    Do you believe in equal rights for all religions?* Should religious minorities be as free to promote their faith in Muslim countries as CAIR and other Muslims do here in the West?*
    *
    Do you believe that the punishment for adultery should be death?* If not, then why not?
    *
    Why have you refused to condemn the Islamic Republic of Sudan for the deaths of over 200,000 Africans in the name of racial cleansing and Jihad?* Would you be just as apathetic if this were a non-Muslim government killing Muslims instead?
    No, I didn't. But they aren't doing any actions to make that happen and that's the point. I understand the idea that your version of God is the highest authority. That doesn't mean that the govt. will be changed.
    Those "facts" are spun especially the part about calling for the overthrow of the United States. That would require some crazy twisting of things that CAIR has said and done, and spinning statements in the most extreme and unintended manner.
    As far as the poster, that isn't suspect at all. At a time when people have advocated profiling Muslims, it's unfortunate, but makes sense.
    Goodness, you are more delusional than I thought.
    You are saying that it makes sense to encourage people not to cooperate with law enforcement.
    Amazing.
    There is no twisting and spinning. Twisting and spinning is when you act like Hamas is not a terrorist organization.
    Your ideological blinders are so extreme that I am starting to wonder what your personal interest in this is.
    Absolutely depending on your beliefs, and level you are being unjustly targeted by the law enforcement.
    Thank goodness MLK and civil rights supporters believed in not cooperating with law enforcement. Our nation is a better place today because of it.
    So, FranchiseBlade, to be 100 % clear:
    You trust CAIR, an organization with ties to Islamist terrorism, over United States law enforcement, because your ideological bias says that law enforcement "unjustly" (based on your own bias) targets Islamists?
    I'm literally shaking my head in disbelief at what you are saying.
    No that's incorrect. I'm saying that I'm not sure the level of profiling Muslims is carried out by the FBI. But I'll trust Muslims to judge that better than I could.
    I don't know if it's right or wrong in this case. What I'm saying is that I'm not 100% in favor of just trusting the govt. no matter what. There are definitely times that I approve of the tactic for political goals of not cooperation with law enforcement when and if it's justified.
    I love free speech, and pushing the envelope. I appreciate it even when I disagree with the message.
    Well, no need to look further than at their current homepage:
    [IMG]
    Some facts about "Imam Siraj Wahhaj":
    In 1969 he ended his schooling and joined the Nation of Islam, changing his name to Jeffrey12x.[1] During this time he was vocal in his belief that “white people are devils." He said of this, “I preached it. I taught it.”[2] Wahhaj says of his interest in the Nation: "It wasn't the theology that attracted me to the Nation of Islam at all... It was the kind of do-for-self black pride."
    (...)
    Wahhaj was an "unindicted co-conspirator" in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. He was quoted as saying that he hopes all Americans eventually become Muslim and also referred to the FBI and CIA the "real terrorists".[3]
    Wahhaj defended the Blind Sheikh, Omar Abdel-Rahman, the former leader of the Egyptian terrorist organization, Gama'a al-Islamiyya by testifying on his behalf at his trial.[4]
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siraj_Wahhaj
    More from this guy, prominently featured on CAIR's homepage:
    He has told his followers that a society governed by strict Islamic law, in which adulterers would be stoned to death and thieves would have their hands cut off, would be superior to American democracy.
    Do you know that everything you post is garbage? If one tries, he would be able to find dirt on anyone in the world by twisting facts and taking quotes out of context.
    A democrat and a Republican were walking down the street when they came to a homeless person. The Republican gave the homeless person his business card and told him come to his business for a job. He then took twenty dollars out of his pocket and gave it to the homeless person.
    The Democrat was very impressed, and when they came to another homeless person, He decided to help. He walked over to the homeless person and gave him directions to the welfare office He then reached into the Republican's pocket and gave him fifty dollars.
    You're a dumbass for thinking that's a realistic endgame.
    Hypothetically or not.
    I'm glad they removed his garbage from training my servicemen because that is not critical thinking about Islam whatsoever.
    The spelling on that website is terrible.
    I also find it interesting that the whole website is solely aimed at self-victimization and demands.
