I love the style of these animated films (or is it stop motion?) anyone know any others that have this weird, awesome look?

I hope no one mentions Fantastic Mr. Fox because that looks way different.

"Corpse Bride". Also check out "Mary and Max", honestly one of the best movies in the past few years.

I know Nightmare is stop motion. I think Coroline was also.

Dude. I love stop animation. I think this is one type of animation that really benefits from the 3D showings.

PARANORMAN is AWESOME. The animation is above expectations. The story is great, too. Go see it... it is AWESOME at the theater. STAY AFTER THE CREDITS!

I enjoy most of the Tim Burton-style animations, but... some of those are just too far-fetched (I know, it's a movie!).

Wallace & Grommit? It's more adult-oriented... but kids still watch it and have a good time...

Dang, my son and I saw it twice and didn't know there was something at the end of the credits to watch for. I can't even find it on youtube.

We saw it the second week after it had come out, and there was a couple with a baby who kept crying in some LOUD scenes.

    In the scenes where
    [real spoiler!!!]
the screen goes completely bright and there was total silence
the baby and EVERYONE ELSE were quiet! You could hear a pin drop. SRSLY, guise.

The new movie Frankenweenie looks like it is the same type of animation you are looking for.

    Ooh, ooh! I would suggest...

    hmph, yeah, what he said.

Also, I loved Coraline--it's probably the only movie during this 3D craze where I was actually glad I put on the glasses. The 3D was a great complement to the film... should I expect the same for ParaNorman?? For those of you who've seen it, was the 3D exceptional or just typical?

In all seriousness, you might enjoy this vid that shows how stop motion is done and includes FZ as well. This is 1 of 3...
