Breaking News: Attack on Libyan Embassy act of terror

    No link, but it was just reported that the man responsible for the attack on the Libyan embassy was a member of Al Qaeda and that this was a premeditated attack.

    Update: leader of the attack was formerly held at GITMO, released to Libyan custody in 2007 under the stipulation that he was to be imprisoned there.

    How did he get out? Was he freed by the NTA? Gaddafi? Did he just leave during the chaos of the revolution?

    Anyways, I had a feeling this was a terrorist attack. A correspondent on the BBC programme Dateline London put it best- spontaneous mobs usually don't involve RPGs.

    well, even before this bit of intel, i was thinking we should just take libya and use it as our mid east outpost.
