No, I've just been to the last two (HOB and CWMP). I really enjoyed the new album, definently different from everything else. Humbug probably ranks #1 for me though.
I wanted to go to the show in Beaumont but I wasn't able to pull it off. I love all three bands and the new Halestorm album kicks ass.
damn! Cannibal Corpse Between The Buried And Me Faceless Periphery Veil of Maya Job for a Cowboy Goatwhore Exhumed Cerebral Bore House of Blues Saturday 28 July 2012 that is four of my favorite bands in the world. in one place. i'm about to poop myself thinking about this show.
Explosions in the Sky in Houston tomorrow, going to be awesome. Also bought tickets to see Animal Collective in New Orleans in September. not sure if that drive will be worth it. Probably not, but that's the closest they are ever going to come and I want to cross them off my list. Also small venue (I think) so that'll be cool. Also, David Byrne and St Vincent on October 6th at the Hobby Center. Excited for that one
I live in Beaumont, so its about equal distance for New Orleans and Austin. New Orleans show is on a Saturday and in a smaller venue so that one won for me. Yes! I'm super excited about that one. They are also doing Austin and Dallas
Oh man, lucky, Radiohead said the November shows would focus more on their older stuff. I didn't get to see them before this tour so I would love to see one of those shows
I still have Fiona Apple on the 13th of this month in Nashville at the Ryman. Just bought a ticket today to see Grizzly Bear at the Ryman on September 18. God, I can't wait for that show (although I am excited about the Fiona show, too).
Not sure if it should go in here or the movie thread, but tomorrow I'm going to see the LCD Soundsystem Documentary "Shut Up and Play the Hits." I think they're up to 4 showings now in Austin that have sold out, while Houston still only has 1 showing and it's not full. Kinda sad . Anyways, looking forward to seeing it. Hopefully I don't cry like a little girl. For anyone interested, you may still be able to get tickets here: http://oscilloscope.net/lcdtheaters/
Just got back from the Grizzly Bear concert at the Ryman in Nashville. It was beyond outstanding...Ed Droste is such an engaging fellow! I'll try to post the set list sometime later.
Totally jealous. Sadly they aren't making any Texas stops on this leg of the tour. I've got Fiona Apple on Thursday, Conor Oberst next week, and Grimes the week after that.
I just realized I told a friend I would go visit him the same weekend I was planning to see Animal Collective... at Merriweather Post Pavilion! Oh what to do...
