last fifa i played was 09 and still playing it a little. feels weird playing fifa 13 demo. the game speed is slower but that's from me though
First time Ive played a Fifa game on PS3. I'm in that proud stage where I'm passing instead of shooting. Maybe Milan just sucks.
Got Fifa 12 as my first buy of the series. All I play is my player/manager mode. Managed to get my pro to an 89 overall but simply won't move past that.
I just dont know if FIFA 13 is something I need to get since I already own FIFA 12. As I've grown older I have noticed my video game buys have dwindled down to a handful of games every year. Staples: COD NBA 2k FIFA/Madden (one or the other, sometimes both) 1 Misc. (usually an exclusive like Gears of War, Halo, Uncharted, Killzone, etc) Now I feel like it is getting even smaller to just COD NBA 2k Either video games aren't as fun as before, Or I am getting less time to distribute between my vijea gayms
"First Touch Control" is game-changingly huge. Though the funny part is that, it's not really so much a new feature as finally making the "ball control" rating actually matter. But either way, it's still awesome. The other thing I'm excited about is definitely all the Career Mode changes. I'm a total Career Mode junkie, and finally being able to add players to deals, send counter-offers, and coach a national team really adds to the mode. I wonder if in future editions, they can find a way to add co-ownership. Just slightly sad there's no more Player Manager mode, as I liked to put my Virtual Pro on Shrewsbury and then get them to the EPL. But oh well... the great features they're adding more than make up for that loss. I'm excited.
Anyone around to play a game on PS3 add me xxstackxx Just got done playing the demo for a bit. Definitely like some of the mechanics of the game. I like how every player can't receive the ball from a pass like a superstar causing them to have a bit more time to try and gather the ball like in real life. Players dribbling ability really comes into play a lot more when you are doing a slow dribble or controlled dribble. Overall the game does feel a bit more fluid but I have to play with my normal teams to really feel the full impact because I know how those teams play and those players are.
Yup. Can't wait to fire up the full game and start playing with Inter. Not that Inter is much like they were last year. They better give Coutinho his props this time around. He was awesome in his loan spell at Espanyol. I have little hope Juan will be rated well since he's so new, but hoping they'll pump him up after the winter transfer window. And Maicon... it's going to be an adjustment not having him to bomb down the right side anymore. My attack has sort of unconsciously tilted to the right as the years have gone on, because it was so easy getting forward with him...
I have Fifa 12 and Fifa 10. I think I am gonna skip out on this one since they didn't really seem to improve a whole lot on Fifa 12. But Fifa 12 is a great game so im sure this will be good as well:grin: Perhaps I'll get it during the winter sale when it goes for around $30
I trolled on the NBA2k thread because of the urge to say this: They said they made improvements on the growth system and I hope that includes fixing the youth academy because I would like to go the distance in career mode, the gm'in part of sports games is what I enjoy the most. I have a love/hate relationship with FIFA when it comes to the actual game play and it seems like most of my frustrations with FIFA12 have carried over: stupid A.I., passes that go to the wrong teammate, getting tackled then also getting the foul called on you (though I don't know if this is how it is in real life) but even if I get frustrated a lot, I still consider it is the best sports game.
Heard the Full game is waaaaay better than the Demo. Slowed pace, tightened defense, more tactical approach needed, first touch control even more obvious. Someone also mentioned how Stoke plays long ball tactics like in real life, AI teams play different this time. Man, I can't wait now.
Played the game fora few hours last night. It is so much different than Demo. The game play is so much more realistic. Lower quality players have horrible first touches and the ball will bounce or not be gathered as easy on a hard fast pass to them so defenders can catch up quicker. Teams definitely play more like their actual style and a lot of variations on when they do their runs etc. Really doesn't feel as scripted. One thing that is nice is Pace is not easily abused in this game. Just because they are a fast player doesn't make them have great first touches or even be able to receive a ball cleanly so if you try to just run the sides of the pitch like before it's not going to be as easy. You guys will not be disappointed.
Just played my first game. The first touch control is definitely more evident on the game than in the demo. The players also shield off now when trying to corral a loose ball, so far the experience has been pretty awesome.
Have been counting the seconds, finally I'm going to sink my teeth in right now. No NBA2k demo for pc? no problem.
