How is the iPhone not competitively priced? $199 for 16 GB iPhone 5 versus $199 for a 16 GB Galaxy S3. That's the standard price for a base model premium smartphone and it has been for quite some time now. iOS has annual updates, by the way... When is the S3 getting Jelly Bean? 2014?

The "" gave off a sarcastic vibe. My mistake.

I usually like Pizza's posts but me thinks he spoke out of emotion and not facts. I have and iPhone. My GF asked me what phone she should get. I said whatever phone has the cheapest Data and phone plan with the most Cap(college student). She's getting the Galaxy 3 on T-mobile. I couldn't care less and am happy

And that's the point. I just got an iPhone 4s last year after having an N900, Nexus and HTC Desire. I love my iPhone along with my AT&T service (the price for the plan not so much) and it's great for me.

People should stop bashing Android and Apple and just pick the phone they like and Let it be done. If you have to convince yourself your phone is better than someone else's by posting about then you must have issues.

Ps: that goes for Apple computers vs. PCs too.

It's usually perpetuated by the Android users. Most of them hate Apple for some [often times unjustifiable] reason. I like and use all all OSes but if I pick up one device sitting on my desk right now, it would be my iPhone.

I am a Google guy, my wife has an iPhone. I get frustrated when trying to use her phone, she gets frustrated trying to use mine. It's kind of funny. We just agree to disagree and live on happily. It's crazy.

I'm not a fan of Apple products (hardware and software) as I've actually had to develop on a Mac before. Doesn't make my opinion anymore or less legit if you ask me, but at least I'm not just spewing crap.

My wife is not a fan of Android b/c of her first experience with it on a slow HTC device.

It is what it is. BUT, both "sides" have grown b/c of the competition.

I will say this though. First thing I thought of when I started reading all the reports about the new iPhone breaking records for sales:

Twilight did the same thing I think. Just saying...I keeeeed.

That honestly wasn't my intent. I'm just saying that there's usually hate coming from one side, as with anything. I use all mobile operating systems for work and I see the benefits of them all, but I choose iPhone as my personal device. That doesn't mean I am "blinded" like the anti-Apple crowd says.

    +1.

For some reason people HAVE to convert everyone to their version of the best OS. You don't walk around and tell people how to fk...let people do what they want!

It came off wrong and I apologize. I meant it more to mean the people who don't like this phone aren't hating, they are disappointed. At least that's where I stand. I think it's still a decent phone, I just feel like for incremental upgrade we deserve better. I could have worded it a lot better... God now I sound like a politician.

But... I do honestly believe a good majority of people who will buy this phone are drastically misinformed/uninformed. I really feel like people are toeing their respective allegiance lines and it's just like politics. When people do that change never occurs. Like I said, it isn't a bad phone but it's not a great one either.

What irks me the most is any owner of an iPhone going into a Android thread or article and bashing them and vice versa.

It's like buying a car or anything else. The person buying it is the one spending the money and wanting to enjoy the fruits of that money spent. If they chose to buy car X vs car Y it's their choice.

Now if you want to come in and have a discussion and give opinions in an intellectual way I will listen all day and debate with you and agree when you are right. But if your one of those trolls you can suck a nut for all I care.

Your not going to get me to change how I am going to spend my money and what phone I want to buy so your basically speaking to a wall.

The only Apple product I ever used was an iPhone 3gs. I purchased it using gift cards somebody gave to me.

They told me iPhone was for idiots who didn't know how to use computers. I guess I was stupider than idiots because it took me days to just figure out how to create playing order of my songs in iTunes and how to upload and apply my customized ring-tone (originally a simple mp3) to the damn phone. I was totally frustrated at the fact that it took so many steps and so damn hard to just create a simple customized ringtone for my iPhone, and it couldn't exceed 30 secs (took me another half hours to find out). And I learned along way that if you try to do things slightly out of the ordinary, you have to jailbreak it, which take another few days to do research, and it only lasts until the next OS release, then you have to do it all over again.

After using the phone for a couple months, I tossed it into the draw and never looked back. I have absolutely no interested in using a SMARTphone which wants you do things ONLY in its own way, and wants to totally restrict you, completely control and own you.

Yep...I completely understand the love for Android products over Apple, but it's true that just about all the arguments stem from Android supporters. I don't know what it is, but the trendy thing to do right now apparently is bash Apple to no end.

I love my iPhone, and I honestly don't envision myself getting a different kind of phone for years. I really just love it that much. Is that wrong? Is my opinion on phones "wrong"? Absolutely not.

I respect Android and I know what they bring to the table. They have some GREAT devices. They're just not for me. I'm an Apple guy, and that's my preference. But the Android supporters somehow feel the utter need to come on each and every message board that talks about phones and bash Apple. It's just dumb.

Live and let live. Everybody has their preference. None are wrong.

Forgiven of course. No worries at all.

However "uninformed" is the wrong word. Anybody who buys the iPhone is getting a GREAT phone. That's not questionable.

What helps your argument though is NOW, other companies are finally catching up to them, so the gap in technology/features between the types of phones is much smaller. That's not to say the iPhone is getting worse, it's just flattening out somewhat while other phones are starting to spike.

But that doesn't change the fact that you can't speak for everybody. Not everybody WANTS a Samsung or a Nokia. Some, many actually, just want the iPhone because it's respective features. It's got hands down the simplest user interface, and it's a familiar product. Some people don't want to change, they just want an upgrade on the product that they already enjoy. And the same goes for other phones

People aren't brainwashed into buying an iPhone....they just enjoy the iPhone! I can say with upmost certainty that I've tested out tons of phones, including the S3, and the iPhone just feels right for me, and I'm sure many people agree and disagree with me. It's always a matter of preference. Saying somebody is "uninformed" when buying the phone of their preference (a very high quality phone at that) is basically like a football player telling somebody their "uninformed" if they choose to play basketball. It's just not justified. It's ALWAYS a matter of preference.

As you shouldn't. You earn your money, and you have the right to spend it however you want. You do your research, and you make the decision that fits you best. No question.

Well, I think the bashing is more than usual b/c Apple seeming like a bully with the recent Samsung vs. Apple case that was in the media spotlight.

At least I think that is why. Add to that the fact that non-fanboi Apple supporters that are actually saying the same things about expecting more from the iPhone. Most of those folks are just passing on the phone anyway stating it's not enough of an upgrade to purchase. Especially after the disappointment of the 4s being not all that different from previous version.

I dont mind the product. It is a good phone. It is the ridiculous amount of attention that comes with every release that dons it the greatest phone ever. Media makes people hate a lot of things. I work in advertising at the moment and no one can deny that they have done a great job branding the products. Its rare to have actual fans of a product.
My mom asked what phone she should get a while back and I said Iphone cause it is easy to use and idiot proof. For the more tech savy people I suggest android because the possibilities are there to get the most out of your phone if you want. Its all about what you are using it for and who the operator is. I would buy Mac for computers but for phones I would miss all of my free apps and swype too much.

I don't blame Apple, or any company to tout their product as the best ever. That's their job!

It is the publicized "sheep" that get the attention right? I mean when you see vids of people looking at a 4s and think it's a 5..AND they own a 4s themselves! Then there's folks that really think their **** doesn't stink b/c they own Apple products. Add to that they are probably using their iPhones while claiming Team Edward and whatever else, while reading 50 Shades of Gray, celebrating their 13th birthday.

I'm having too much fun poking fun, sorry.

I think it's today's society flippin' the script. Back in the day, to be a geek and know stuff made you the outcast, and uncool. Now it's the opposite. I think that's how Android folks see it. Android is for "geeks" and iPhone people are wannabes.

In the end, like many have said, who freaking cares? Just don't be annoying about it, like I was above hah!
