Kinda different. Cushing is a beast LB headbutting teammates to get psyched up for the game. Ferrotte was a weak QB who decided to headbutt padding because he scored a TD, but he didn't know it was concrete beneath the padding so he gave himself a concussion.

I gotta say with Cush ninja assassin and arian they more than make up for the all nice guy no swag stars (dre the real Matty ice and JJ swatt). Cushing masks me proud to be a texans fan he's what football is all about just relentless out there and a complete nut. Him and pat Willis are freak of natures and take it to another level in terms of athletism and speed to go with knock out power. I love watching both those guys play they look like the same guy out there, if u watch 49rs games (in sf a lot) you would see that that boy willis an Cush cover more ground than your avg lb which allows for more blitz and better coverage against TEs.

Lol it's not that far off. Don't let name recognition get in the way. Statistically Cushing is the far superior pass rusher.

It has nothing to do with name recognition. In fact, I say that despite my homerism. Comparing Patrick Willis to Brian Cushing is like comparing Calvin Johnson to Roddy White. Not on the same level.

OK, so then who is near Willis' level. Is Cushing as least in 2nd place?

Honestly, as insane as it sounds, I'd put Navorro Bowman up there at Willis' level. Cushing comes in right under them though. That Niners front seven is a menace to the NFL.

Well, we know what happens when he headbutts without his helmet. D-Day.

Cushing isn't as the complete sideline to sideline linebacker as Willis is. He has a little bit more limitations than Patrick. That said, Brian is still a stud. We need to find a more long term solution for Cushing's ILB partner though, Bradie James ain't gonna cut it long term, and presently Cushing has more pressure and is asked to do more to cover for Bradie's weaknesses.

Here's a ranking of ILB/MLB from some writer on Sporting News (rolleyes at Urlacher above Cushing).
