(skip to bolded part if you don't want to read the story first) Hey guys, I've recently decided to take place into a video contest at my local cable-park (for those who don't know, its wakeboarding without a boat). After a session of filming, I destroyed my elbow trying to land a new trick. So all of my dreams completing this video where destroyed, because I wasn't going to have the footage I wanted to make a really badass one. However, I learned that there where only 5 entries for the contest, and that the contest would end in a couple of weeks. I realized I had a shot at winning, even if my footage was crap. So I checked out the prize's to see if it was worth it: Heck yes! So I made a quick edit, but here's where you guys come in place; The more views and youtube-comments I get, the more chances I have of winning. So I need you guys (yes, i'm counting on you China!) to get me a boatload of views and comments! I like to think of it as the AllStar game voting system. Lets just hope you can get me into the Top 3, just like an injured Yao Ming. Without further ado; <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Ws0-EZQiFZE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Thanks, -BReasons
Thanks to everybody! Already 600+ views and 14 comments! I'm on vacation at the moment so have limited access to internet, but the rep will be spreaded as soon as I get back. Big thanks again!
Wish I could get ahold of your original footage for a re-edit..... There is sooo much more that can be done to make that video better..... I know it was just a quick edit but man that footage has alot potential.... Good Job thou... Hope you win
Ah man too bad I didn't know that before! We're more riders than film-makers! We're planning on making a new 10-minutes mini-documentary for the spring. If your interested tell me!
Here are a few video-shooting things I noticed and on which I would like to comment: Invest in a hand-held stabilizer or a tripod, or both. Also, look into stabilizer plug-ins. They will help a lot. Lastly, a ZOOM lens wouldn't hurt, either. You have the skills to edit, but need a bit more resources. On the shots with the brush and weeds in between the camera and the subject, the brush seems intrusive. Nah, it's a great video... but I'd like to see whom you're competing against. Overall, it's an 8/10 video, Sincerely paulfthflhfwlkhfwiphfwptsk
Haha thanks paul! Keep pimpin' braaah. We're more riders than film-makers so we didn't have much of an equipment. We're trying to get something more professional for the next segment. Anyways, thanks for everyone's support, hopefully we'll reach 1000 views by the end of the month.
