The 4 is free. 4s is $100. I can wait a week for the 5, which is $200, but I need a phone ASAP.

    Which is the best value?

4 is free, but I'd probably get my money's worth with the 4s.

BTW, I think $200 is a little pricey for a cellphone. I got my iPad 3 for that amount (somehow pulled that off).

I got the 4s under the same circumstances (except the 5 wasn't available yet). It has 2 antennas and will get better coverage and WiFi strength.

There is another option. Get a ****ty pre-paid phone at Walmart and wait a week for the iPhone 5

I've considered this, but as I said, I just don't think $200 is worth it. I've never paid more than $40 for a phone anyway...getting the 4s for $100 would be a huge step up for me lol

The 4s is a good deal for $100. I'd go with that if you really cant just wait a few more days.

If you're open to the idea, you can actually get a galaxy s3 on Amazon for $99 as well. Just something to think about

This is a great idea. If you're sold on the iPhone disregard but if not, watch a YouTube video on the Galaxy s3. I've had mine for about 2 months and love it. I had 2 iPhones before it and was just ready for a change. Love the Galaxy. It's serious fun!

Why wouldn't you just wait for the 5? It's a week away and it makes no sense not to just upgrade.

4S. There's a noticeable difference in processor speed, camera, and antenna quality. You also get the most out of the iOS 6 update that comes out Wednesday. Personally I'd wait for the 5 though.

Yep. You'll be stuck with a 3.5" phone for two years either way. 3.5" is obviously obsolete now, with UI development moving onto accommodating screens 4" and larger; just imagine the form factors arriving in 2014. Believe me, every time you see that iPhone 4/4s, you'll be wishing for the next time you can upgrade your phone.

Go with a 720p Android phone.

My phone is still one of these:

Got it five years ago, replaced the battery once. Works fine. Only real "feature" is a cameraphone, which I never use anyway. Actually, the best "feature" isn't even advertised: it's nigh indestructible. You can throw it full strength into a wall and it's just fine, thank you.

In any case, I don't understand the desire for gee-whiz phones nowadays. I don't feel the need to watch movies or listen to music or be constantly connected to the internet with my phone. And if I need to remember something, I write it down on a pad of paper I keep in my pocket.

To be clear, I'm in my late 20s, so I'm not just a grouchy old fogie. And I do like big HDTVs and powerful computers with big monitors. I just don't see the appeal of having an all-singing, all-dancing phone when all I want it to do is make calls.

To each his own, I guess.

    Wait for the 5. It's a no-brainer.
