I don't buy it. I just graduated, and I saw little to no support for Romney on my campus. All I saw were either Obama or Paul signs.
I didn't say that I didn't want a President who was elite. I completely agree with you that the GOP attack against "elites" was and is ridiculous. I was just saying that Obama comes across as if he thinks he is superior. Regardless of whether or not he is, it's not an appealing characteristic.
There are people who think Obama is condescending and arrogant, but there have been many polls on such topics and most voters like him just fine. His personal favorability is consistently quite high (and higher than Romney's by a decent margin). You can have whatever opinion that you want, but just know that most voters don't agree with you after watching the guy for years. So, hoping that an "Obama is an arrogant jerk" attack will get Romney elected is fantasy.
I think Obama's high favorability ratings come from the fact that he seems to be a very good family man. Even if a guy comes across as an arrogant jerk when he's giving speeches, it's hard to dislike him personally when he seems to be a great husband and father.

No, but you don't see Romney with young children every time you turn around. And until very recently, Michelle Obama got a lot more attention than Ann Romney.
Thanks, Sam it was hysterical. How desperate they are to find some young folks switching from Obama to Romney. I heard some calls that have pranked Rush, but is much funnier to see a video. Too bad the guy was so nervous or he could have probably played her longer.
Don't want to pull a TJ but apparently there are some videos from a private Romney fundraiser that have been leaked to the innerwebs. some of the choicest quotes so far... "There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what," Romney says in one clip. "All right -- there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent on government, who believe that, that they are victims, who believe that government has the responsibility to care for them. Who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing." "[M]y job is not to worry about those people. I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives," ----------- "My dad, as you probably, know was the governor of Michigan and was the head of a car company. But he was born in Mexico ... and, uh, had he been born of, uh, Mexican parents, I'd have a better shot at winning this," Romney said. If this is legit (especially the first quote) and the videos leak, the election over. It would be the equivalent of Romney pulling a Clayton Williams, from behind. I have a very hard time believing this is real.
