I think Sloan is a better fit than d'antoni

But I believe when Mchale contrAct is up they will bring the assistant head coach as coach.

No one wants to hire Sloan anymore. Not sure if Sloan is still on the bottle.
I would prefer JVG over Sloan.

But Mike Budenholzer is da man I want!

I'd like any of our old coaches back. We should bring back Tomjanovich.

D'Antoni is AWFUL as a head coach. I wouldn't mind him on the staff but no way would I replace McHale with him.

You just went from bearable poster to rate one star immediately so others don't have to see what I had to see poster.

Have we not learned that Steve Nash makes everyone look better...even the coach?

If McHale doesn't work out this year I see the interview list like this next Summer-

    1. Stan Van Gundy
    2. Chris Finch
    3. Kelvin Sampson
    4. Mike Budenholzer
    5. Sam Cassel
    6. Mario Elie
    .
    .
    99. Mike D'Antoni

Ultimately, I think its Finch's job to lose, unless SVG really sells them on his vision for the Rockets. That being said, he should be interviewed first due to his high demand and background. However, I think Finch would be a great fit for a new look, young Rockets team.

If you watch England play in the Summer you can see the style of play he likes to run. Its tons of freedom on offense, lots of movement, and he runs a pretty tight ship on defense. I think the Adelman fans, and the JVG style fans will find his gameplay to be a happy medium.

Olympic basketball doses't serve as a good reference for NBA.
    I like Sloan.

well when your team starts someone like Joel Freeland your gameplay is going to look differently then it would with quality NBA players. Add in FIBA rules and yes, it does look quite different.

That being said, Finch still has enough of a track record in international and D-league coaching to know his basic coaching principles. He's even talked about it in interviews with the Rockets media. He believes in a motion based offense, and still places high emphasis on the defensive end.

I dont know who the next coach of the Rockets is going to be, but I can guarantee you that Jerry Sloan will not be the next Houston Rockets coach. Great coach, not the right fit.
