    You know all those people all have iPhone 4's.

    I can't imagine I'd ever camp out for ANYTHING. I like to have things, but things are not the source of my happiness. I'm not going to waste a week of my life for a slightly better version of a thing I already own.

    Most of those people are floggers, they will buy 10 or 20 iphones and then immediately sell them for $1k on the internet.

    However, I saw loads of people lining outside a Softbank store in Tokyo, and they were lining up to preorder it! The phone comes out on the 21st, and there was a massive line on the 14th for the preorder :eek:

    They can sell the new phone for $1000 on Craigslist, eBay. After the $300 early termination fee it's a $400 profit.

    Apple will also sell an unlocked iPhone 5 for $645 16gb and $745 32gb but not on release day.

    Serious question...

    Why would someone pay $1000 for a phone on Craigslist, ebay, etc., when they can buy it direct from Apple or some other vendor for less (even without a contract)?

    There are no lines for Droids because there are so many different types. Droid X, Droid Razr, Thunderbolt...
