As a US citizen working in Canada, I can tell you that while you pay upfront pretty heavily in Canadian taxes, our joyous US govt pays you back...for now.

Still doesnt make up for $14.99 for a sixer of Bud.

This whole "players should at all times be overjoyed, they're making millions!!" thing is really getting old. He's moving after a few years living in Houston. He gets to be sentimental if he wants to. Doesn't mean he doesn't feel lucky to be playing basketball for a living!

Absurd comparison. Toronto is a great city. The TV show Suits which has a story line based in Manhattan NY is actually filmed in Toronto & honestly it is hard to tell the difference. Canadians are nice people, free health care, downtown nightlife is exciting & the education system in Canada is also really good.

You mean the ones who cheered for Lin and Kobe when they hit game winners?

No. He wanted McHale gone. He liked the team and he liked the city.

I'm more upset Dragic's gone. I like him more than Lin.

They have a decent loyal fan base for the miserable teams they had post Carter era. Honestly if that team were to play in Houston, I doubt anyone would show up to their games ever ever.

Toronto is a great sports city, people likes to attend games in their free time whether or not they are truly huge fans of the teams. Too bad ALL of their pro teams has been utter shet in recent years.

I love Houston, but I've heard very good things about Toronto. I'd love to visit.

no need to sell me on Toronto. try selling the players stationed there waiting to escape like Siberian convicts of yore.

Alright. You prefer living in your familiar smoggy swamp city over a snowy cosmopolitan northern city. To each his own.

At any rate, the Raptors really aren't very good. If you can provide any evidence that players want to escape because of the city (and not the team) please share.

Yep. But, 100% of the people bashing Toronto have never been there.

I've heard nice things about Toronto, but from a player's perspective, what about the taxes there?

Kyle Lowry was easily the best player on this team.

If anyone is interested, i'm selling some red hyper dunks that he autographed.

I think Tmac complained about the winter being too cold and he couldn't leave his apartment.

Which is totally true tho, I hate the winter here in Ontario
