It's really too bad that, if things turn to worse, Japan doesn't have a military. Idk how well their self defense force is but I really doubt they'd win.
First, if Japan gets attacked, America will intervene. Period. Japan limits its military for exactly that reason - it'll become a normal nation someday, but for now it doesn't go all out in exchange for an American guarantee that they'll intervene if the country is attacked. Besides, we basically have one, really. Obviously, it's limited and there's a lot of stuff we won't get because the DPJ are whiny b****es as always, but we always have the capability of rearming really, really quickly in the event of an emergency. China won't invade Japan. Honestly, it's moments like these where I don't begrudge my mother too much when she rants about Japan's righteousness during the war.
Those rioters are classless idiots and lol at the guy with the toyota with anti japan stickers so his car wouldnt be attacked. Smart move
I know right? Why would you trash the property of innocent people in your own damn country. People are r****ded.
I wonder how many of rioters would actually sign to fight a war with Japan..... That said if a war does break out, I got my money on China.
I prefer Japan in this war. They seem more sensible than the Chinese, plus they have US backing. China would get stomped
China would not invade Japan, but it is possible for the two countries to have a limited engagement around the Diaoyu island like the Faulk island war between England and Argentina. Highly doubtful that the US would join the fight in that case.
Firstly, neither governments want war. The Chinese government is trying to suppress the riots (or at least trying to tone down the nationalism) but unfortunately the Chinese protesters are too short sighted and idiotic to realise that some f**king rocks in the ocean is not a good reason to start destroying Japanese cars, stroes, foods whatever (even though those same stores/cars hire/are owned by Chinese people). It's the height of stupidity that we are worried about those islands. Did Japan commit atrocities during the war? Yes. Did it also happen over 60 years ago? Hell yes. I understand that while Japan did not apologise as profusely as the Germans did (going so far as to build loads of Holocaust memorials and the like) but when the people of the present insist on conjuring up the ghosts of the past, then we can never move forward. Incidentally, going by the tourism numbers, Chinese tourists are cancelling plans to go to Japan en masse but Japanese people are still perfectly happy to go to China for holiday.
