My TV Guide says its Jets/Steelers. I'll have to see if that changes after they are done showing this Eagles game
Thoughts from the game: The positive JJ Watt for DPOY Barian Fostate wow K-JAX completely shut down Blackman Reed had a nice sack The Negitive Cush, Barwin, GQ combined for only 4 tackles Passing game was quiet OD dropped 2 very catchable balls
I would be more concerned with that if the Jags had put up decent offensive numbers but their offense was shut down. I don't remember any of those 3 guys whiffing on tackles, other guys were just getting to the ball faster than they could.
At least they're showing the end of Ravens/Eagles instead of cutting away for the start of either of those games.
The fact that the Dolphins, who many experts labeled as the worst teams in the NFL, destroyed the Raiders today makes me feel a lot more optimistic about this team. Pinch me, I'm dreaming.
He was in on all the special teams coverage where I thought he played well. He got some defensive snaps, came close to a pressure on one play but mostly a non factor on D.
The biggest red flag I see is B. James. He cannot cover anyone out of the backfield in the open field. He is not involved at all in run defense, and overall, seems to be giving the team nothing. Though an unrelated move, it doesn't help considering the game D. Ryans had this afternoon for the Eagles. One other minor concern is that neither K. Martin or L. Jean have shown up on the radar. It'd be nice to have one other big play weapon in the passing game (other than AJ). OD and K. Walter both serve their role well, but obviously, not in that capacity.
We've played conservatively on both offense and defense...Miami and Jax are two teams that we can beat without really doing anything out of the ordinary on both sides of the ball. My guess is to give the Broncos as little game tape to work with as possible. I'd expect things to get a little crazier next week...so I do expect Jean to get a little more involved and Im also hoping we start our exotic blitzing against Manning.
I agree with this, they will all be more physical, both the offense and the defense, because they will need to be.
