Typical Mack. Hold freshman like Gray back until around the OU game. He did the same thing with Brown last year and every other player the year before. I'm not sure if it's an issue of making the kids have patience or earning their keep or what.
I don't even bother trying to remember which back is in, they are all great, and, you have to get the ball to skilled WR's including running Shipely. It's an embarrassment of riches. The D's mostly just been an embarrassment.
Gray knew when he signed he would be held back behind our other two kids, and it's actually what him and his father preferred, as he wants a Pro career. I'm fine with this, saves wear and tear, and with Brown and Bergeron in the backfield playing lesser teams, why risk injury right now?
I know, right? 5 sacks, 2 interceptions and one for a TD. Two sacks that pushed them back from almost a sure TD in consecutive plays. Such an embarrassing performance on the road against an SEC sellout crowd of 60,000.
Thanks for the heads up, I had no clue Marcus Allen. Christ, do you guys expect the D to shut down very freaking play? Get over it already. 31-10 and you're griping. I'm way more worried about the Offense and Ash growing at QB than the D.
Texas fans are well aware of the Dlist team we're playing tonight. But Ole Miss is still better than Aggies and we got an SEC win before them. That's worth getting happy drunk over.
Now THAT was ****ing **** coverage. Moncreef is a beast of a WR though. If the D plays zone coverage like that against Ok St. they will get owned.
Like I said, they need to clean up their effort. We can't depend on just physical talent or we are going to get burned regularly when conference play starts against OKST and WV.
I'm really just hoping we're still playing vanilla D to not show anything to the coaches once Big 12 play starts. REALLY hoping. :/
I still don't understand why we don't run more screen plays. With our RB's speed and the huge O-Line it seems to ALWAYS get positive yards by a mile. Sideline WR pass! Do not bring back those memories! And Ash with another bomb. Awesome.
They really are killing me with this lackluster D, missing tackles and ****, looks like they're coasting.
David Ash has been a pleasant surprise. I thought who could be a decent quarterback, but now I think he can be a great quarterback.
Hey bruh! How'd Rice do today? Ash is growing up before our eyes. Another near perfect pass for long. Nice!
I say it again, this DEFENSE really needs to improve. WVU and OU will kill Texas if the defense is not improved. Can't be giving up big plays.
