Do you have to sign for the package? If so can I leave a note telling them to leave it?

On the Apple.com page for your order, there is a option to pre-sign for the package. You print out a form, fill it out, and leave on your door.

Well I was talking about the os , which is pretty easy to use. That example is just Verizon blocking an app. They can't pull that crap on Apple.

That said, all the different skins manufacturers put on the android os do cause confusion and fragmentation and make android worse and harder to use.

Interestingly, since Cook has taken over, the last two major launches (4s and new iPad) have had fairly good availability to the point that you could get one on launch day. Both had strong preorder runs, though not the sell out in one hour kind. And it wasn't a matter of short stock or low demand, as both sold more than ever before.

Either the design changes has caused a lower number of units (4S and iPad probably used much of the same processes as the previous models) or demand is pretty high - lots of 3GS and 4s out there. but Cook's approach up to this point has seemed to be get as much product in customers hands as possible.

I've always disagreed with that, as Android has huge market share numbers of its own. You don't get that with a majority of 'tech savvy' people. And some of those Android number come from pretty low end phones, which would not often be the choice of tech savvy folks.

I think the truth of the matter is there are a lot of pluses and minuses to both systems, and can appeal to a wide range of people. Neither phone is the kind of niche that would be more indicative of a tech crowd majority.

I use and Iphone and will continue to use one. Just my preference. A lot of people get emotionally attached to their oppinions and become insulted when someone else does not agree with there choice of apple or windows based products.

Personally I just prefer the way Iphones look and feel. I like them because they truley are simple to use (I'm an ex blackberry user) plus when they turn them on they just work, period. Great reception, great camera, great apps. I love my IPad as well, it's a true home interface system.

For those that prefer windows based products, there is nothing wrong with that but personally I have not had as good success with them regardless of computers or phones etc...

    Dear Apple Haters,

Contrary to popular belief, it is, in fact, okay to enjoy Apple's products more than company's products. Stop with the childish lambasting.

    Dear uninformed consumer,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>
I have had apple products in the past and will gladly switch to an iPhone if they actually brought about real change to the ecosystem as well as if they better tuned their OS to a more live tile like experience. Furthermore, if apple more competitively priced their phones as well as they made a dedicated stance to bring real hardware and software upgrades annually I would gladly jump ship. Right now however, this is the farthest thing from the truth. Products like the Galaxy sIII and the Lumia 920 either match spec for spec or beat the iPhone in a number of areas. For that reason I am angered. How is the world's most renown phone provider putting out a product that barely competes with what is out there (or in the case of the lumia will be out there very soon)? This is not hate I carry, rather frustration. Yet again, if apple can find how they broke the mold with the first iPhone I will come back.<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p> </o:p>
    Thank you<o:p></o:p>

Just bought it and started it up and it's miles ahead, eh?
The trolls never disappoint. How sad for you, but entertaining nevertheless.

I'm due for an upgrade as I'm on a 3GS, but really not looking to pay full price for that muffler right now, so I'm thinking I will wait the death of my current phone out before getting a new one. I would like to get a 5, but just not in need of a new one so badly that I wanna dish out $300 yet. My 3 year old phone works great. I am very curious to see/hold/use a 5 though.

    Dear Clearly Pretentious Individual,

People have their preferences. I understand the love for Android, I understand the love for iPhone, I understand the love for Nokia, and I even understand the love for a simple flip phone from 10 years ago. And so should you.

Who are you to question what people spend their money on? Buy what YOU, yourself, would like to purchase, and let others do the same.

The iPhone is not a bad phone, and clearly MANY people enjoy what it does. Is it as technologically advanced as others nowadays? Maybe not so. But people enjoy what it does, the simplicity of it, and the other features it has. Not to mention, some just don't want an overly massive phone like the Galaxy S3, which is still a great phone regardless.

Don't act like a prick and say people who like the iPhone are "uninformed". It's just a matter of enjoying the product more. If you want the iPhone, buy the iPhone. If you want the Lumia or S3, buy the Lumia or S3. They're all great phones.

    What are you talking about?

This dude said that I, and anybody else who enjoys the iPhone the most, is "uniformed", and that's just blatantly untrue.

People's opinions on phones will always differ, and there's reasons to enjoy each phone on the market more than the other. To say somebody is "uninformed" for enjoying one more than the other, is just stupid.
