I asked this earlier but forgot about my question. What does stretching the screen by .5 of an inch enhance anything. Don't you need to make it wider as well or is it just an extended wide screen?
One of the things was it didn't have a true 16X9 ratio on the old one so a lot of things were actually not the right size when watching movies etc. With the new dimensions it is a true 16x9 aspect ratio.
I don't like the 16:9 ratio if the phone isn't wider (which I think would mean it would have to at least go to 4.3"). I don't care as much about videos fitting the whole screen as I do web browsing or using apps that require me to go into landscape mode. This size enhancement doesn't really do much other than add the row of icons and show more emails. A few days later and I'm still disappointed.
Honestly, I think it looks awkward and goofy. It's probably difficult to navigate with one hand too. I'd rather have the 4.
why didn't they just stretch it a lil bit sideways also? why not 1280x720? oh that would be using a standard format. not a good idea according to apple.
According to their intro video, they wanted to keep the same form in your hand for width when you grip it.
they also wanted you to buy bumpers because they were colorful..not because they wanted to make money off a design flaw.
Pretty sure they didn't make money off those bumpers... they gave them away for free because of their design flaw. At least I got a free case of my choice when I first got my iPhone 4.
Whelp, I ordered mine at 6 MST and it says delivery date of Oct 5th Should have bought it through my cell phone provider...
Ordered mine from VZW last night at around 2:15 AM, and my status still shows a 9/21 delivery date. My iPhone 4 contract with AT&T ended TODAY. (Nice timing, eh?) Finally, the long nightmare (2007-2012) is over! Goodbye, stupid Death Star and your crappy reception and dead spots. May you rot in hell. iPhone (2G) --> iPhone 4 --> iPhone 5. That's how you do it. None of this "3G/3GS/4S" crap for me. (BTW, I'm still planning on badgering my Microsoft OEM Acct Mgr to give me a Lumia 920 -- or a comparable WP8 device -- as a backup to replace the WP7.5 phone I've got now... )
I hate AT&T but damn they do support WP. I hear Nokia will be on VZ as well, maybe I should make the switch too...
Really, puto, you used my mom for this...? You're an assho--who am I kidding, that was pretty good.
