as a Lithuanian, i watch a lot of foreign movies, especially those made in Hollywood! on a serious note, yes, quite a bit. In particular Spanish and Japanese cinema, it's crazy good, both older movies and new. The older Russian (Soviet) cinema has a number of great movies too (though they have a lot of trash as well + they hardly ever make good new ones). English = humor. You can find gems everywhere tbh, but those are my favorites.
The Lives of Others M Incendies A Separation The Secret in their Eyes La Haine my favorite foreign movies so far and I've seen a bundle
i watch mostly foreign movies... some recent ones i can recommend to you guys: headhunters (norwegian) jiro dreams of sushi (japanese) a separation (iranian) monsieur lazhar (french canadian) departures (japanese) un prophete (french) la belle personne (french) hot summer days (hong kong) i am love (italian) senna (brazil) biutiful (spain) ajami (israel)

Yup, see foreign films all the time especially since the American is lacking lately with all remakes. Last one I seen was Korean, Akmareul boatda(I saw the devil). It was very good if you like thrillers.
I like all films, but I don't make a point to watch something because its foreign. If it interests me, I'll watch it. I like the British films with some smart comedy (simon pegg stuff, Lock Stock & 2 smoking barrels, The Commitments, A fish Called Wanda) - not much into the British dramas. I really liked Korean and Japanese horror movies that used to come on at night on IFC, and I actually enjoy watching some of the higher budge Bollywood stuff (but I have to be in the right mood to watch them). What I can't stand is American Action movies with Van Damme, Seagal, etc..those mindless brain-numbing films. Still, my all-time favorite film is Life is Beautiful - the Italian film with Roberto Benigni.. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/16RZHqCIy9M?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I'll watch French movies and then other foreign movies with a good reputation. But then I don't get to watch a lot of movies these days because of the kids and the eroding ability of Netflix to provide good movies.
Lol I was kidding... In all seriousness I'm in to the Korean revenge genre... Has anyone seen Man from No Where?
i saw it....the lead actor was quite good, but i wasn't so impressed with the film's other aspects...
Watch plenty of foreign films, always nice to mix it up. There are plenty of great films out there, apparently reading sub titles turns people off but they are missing out, IMO.
Agreed. I'm old and have been up close at a lot of loud concerts, so I frequently put CC on everything I watch, except maybe sports. I don't have a problem with subtitles.
Of course I do. As long as I can read the subtitles, it doesn't matter to me what language they're in. After a few moments, I don't even notice the subtitles. My subconscious mind is taking in that data while I watch the action, apparently.
