The store I use got 85 Wii pre-orders and only got 35 in. Took them about 2-3 weeks to fill pre-orders. I'm not taking that chance again.

I will wait to see if it's not gimmicky crap, like the Wii turned out to be.

Don't know if I'll buy, though. I'm also curious as to how much extra controllers will be.

    Too many unknowns for me.

It probably will be gimmicky, but where else can you get the signature Nintendo games?

I think the tablet controller is going to run at least $100 up to $150. In Japan, it's $150.

Apparently, after looking it up, rumors are that it may not even be connectable with two gamepads. This, in order to keep processing power down to save costs. If so, it's a big fail for Nintendo. What I'm reading, there is no imminent date on when controllers will be sold separately. If they don't sell them separate, huge fail.

I think this will sell well initially, but I think people tired out of the Wii. The only thing it had going for it is the price point. Once the Move (I think) and the Kinect came out, the original Wii became an old fad.

I think the new Wii U will be outshined graphically, in the near future, and usability immediately. Especially seeing as how the main component of the console (the controller) doesn't totally allow for multiplayer interaction. I can see how people can argue that it does, but really, I disagree.

I think it'll sell well initially, and then be a bust. Especially once the other companies come out with their stuff.

Microsoft will corner the market because of Kinect in the near future, in my opinion.

I don't get the Mario one. So you're looking at the tiny screen instead of the big screen the whole time?

No, I believe its a 2 player mode. One user on the gamepad trying to prevent you from completing the level the other trying to finish on the screen.

From the video, it looks like the player is helping you. I think for the hardcore gamer who only thinks of himself this seems useless, but if you are a kid with siblings, this is a way to keep everybody involved.

The PS4 and 720 are supposed to cme out end of next year, I seriously doubt that Wii U will be a hit given these circumstances. All the families that bough Wii won't neccessarily buy the Wii U because they just bought the Wii for fun and entertainment, not graphics.

The hardcore gamers will wait for PS4 and 720 because of the drastic improvement in hardware.

Only people I see buying Wii U are hardcore Nintendo fans and people that want to buy all consoles.

The graphics are gonna suck and they gonna come up with ten editions for it. Waste of money.

Yea i forgot where I ready but I guess you can do either or in the game. I think this console satisfies the hardcore Nintendo fan (like myself). The graphics are supposed to be better than this current gen's systems but won't be up to par with the 720 or PS4. I for one don't care about specs when it comes to Nintendo, all I care is about their games. I have a PS3 and will be getting a PS4 to satisfy my spec needs. I can't wait to play Zelda on this though.

I'm going to hold back and see how it works out. I see some cool aspects/potential for games and media, especially with the TVii, but it's just all a bit too unclear now.

Nintendo confirmed a little while ago that the Wii U can support two GamePads being simultaneously connected. However, none of the games during the launch window will support two GPs, so Nintendo has decided (here in the US) not to sell the GamePad as a separate accessory until sometime next year.

As for me, the ONLY thing that captured my interest about anything Wii U is the Bayonetta 2 exclusive announcement. Everything else was underwhelming, disappointing and lame. Games, hardware, etc. Hell we still don't know how the online is supposed to work...we'd better have actual accounts to tie our stuff to this time. I'm going to hold off on getting the Wii U for awhile. Maybe after a price drop and more interesting games are out.

The way things look now, I don't think the Wii U will do anywhere near as well as the Wii, commercially speaking.
