I think he was pointing out the silliness of going out in a public atmosphere just for texting, data, and talking on the phone.
Here is what the new iPhone 5 packs for the main features: 112 grams (20% lighter than the 4S) 7.6mm thin 4” in-cell 1136 x 640 display (16:9; 326ppi) 8MP rear camera with F/2.4 lens, BSI sensor and Sapphire crystal Apple A6 Chip 4G LTE, DCHSPA

I'm ordering 2 phones tonight that will use Verizon. Once they are delivered, I can be rid of AT&T again, a company I only went back to because of the iPhone. I'm wondering what it's going to cost me. I know what the phones will cost, but haven't delved deeply into the Verizon monthly rates. I considered Sprint, since they have unlimited plans, but their LTE coverage sucks. Verizon has everyone beat there by a mile. And I'm wondering how much memory to purchase. Probably decide at 2:55 am! I'm pleased with what I've read about the new phone. It'll be a gigantic upgrade over the 3GS's we've been nursing for over a year, with batteries running on fumes.
Wait until it hits you lol...Verizon charges so much it's almost unbelievable, but yes, you get the best cellular and data service of any wireless company.
I really could see it happening. I wonder if the new screen size is going to cause any issues with some legacy apps or the new dock might have some harsh compatibility issues with pre-existing hardware. Oh well. Chances are I am getting the Lumia 920 anyways.
I'm surprised that issue with older apps has not been brought up before in any reviews etc. If it just stretches out the app to the new aspect ratio that will probably mess up the resolution and not look as clean as it does on a 4s with Retina. If anything they will probably have black borders around the right and left or bottom and top depending on how you hold it so it maintains the correct aspect ratio and resolution. At least until everyone upgrades their apps. The major companies in the app game will already have been working on a fix for it and they should be okay sooner rather then later.
Yeah, but yet again it feels like you are getting a device that is in beta rather than new and ready to go. That's a chief complaint I had about my four iPhones, it didn't feel like it was a complete device. I feel that way a bit with WP7.5 as well. I love the fact that nobody has mentioned the lumia has a slightly better picture than the retinas.
A friend of mine claims you can make bank pre-ordering the phone and selling on ebay. I'm skeptical. Has anyone here done anything like that?
Marketing is why you don't hear about it. iPhone is on the tongues of everyone out there and they become blind to anything else. I personally have an iPhone and have had one from day one. Yes it does lack in some places but overall they put out a product that just sells and they know how to sell basic features as worldy ones. As far as bugs and betas go it's the name of the game with any tech out there from the iPhone to cars. The only iPhone I actually got at the beginning was the 4. I rather wait a bit let the hype die down and then just pick up the phone later.
Lol... yes but then you're stuck with a contract. I would never ever buy a phone on contract but that's just my personal preference.
You used to be able to do that a lot better back in the day. It's hasn't had the same hype as before. Maybe the iPhone 5 will have a bit more demand and everyone will try and get one. It's a risk you take when you get it. Worst case you sell it for the amount you got it for and break even if no one wants to pay more for it. Remember you have ebay fees and paypal fees that eat into your profit so you have to account for that. I used to buy used 3G & 3Gs phones back in the day on craigs list and jailbreak them and sell them on ebay for a good profit when jailbreaking wasn't as easy so I know the game.
