Was with some friends a few weeks ago and some dude I don't really know that was with us was wearing a Creed shirt. I tried, with good intentions, to politely ask him if he was wearing that to be ironic or funny or something. Because, honestly, who the **** likes Creed? Turns out he likes Creed and those around me chastised me for being such an ass (at least while the Creed fan was within hearing distance). The poor guy looked quite embarrassed. But honestly, I thought it was supposed to be a joke.
I think it was in Entertainment Weekly and it was by Chelsea Handler (?) but the quote was that Avril Lavigne is the only upcoming bride to be that is actually being openly rooted for in breaking up a band!

I have unparalleled hatred for Nickelback. They represent everything that is ugly and wrong in the music industry. And Creed sucks, too.
I think they are a wonderful band, if your pastimes include monotony beating women and questioning your sexuality.
I don't like to give people crap for the music they like, so I won't attack the op for his music taste. However, I hate Nickelback because their each of their songs sound like they are written in about 14 minutes and the lyrics are that of a 12 year-old pre-pubescent boy. Personally, I like music with a little more substance, but that's just me.
Speaking of sh-tty bands, the bassist from Smash Mouth got ZERO jail time for going Smash Mouth on his wife. I guess he got Breezy's lawyer. Not gonna post the phone vido, ya'll can Google that sh-t.
I still listen to Creed every now and then. I know there aren't many of us around. I didn't like them at first because I thought they were trying to copy Pearl Jam for some reason. Turns out, nothing like them. But eventually they grew on me. Not so much with nickleback. Canada can take nickleback, bleiber, avril and norm mcdonald (is he Canadian?) back.
Tool were formed in LA bruh. Maynard was born in Ohio and attended West Point Prep School for a bit. Don't lump them in with those **** bands from America's ball cap. NM- I see you meant the Nickleback "Tool" who married Avril. My bad.
I change the channel immediately when Nickelback comes on. I can't really tell you why, they just annoy me greatly. And it has been like that even before I first found out that others really can't stand them either. There are a few more bands/singers who are like that for me - Cranberries, Alanis Morrissette, Anastasia. I just can't listen to it and it's hard for me to understand why people like it.
Don't care about the other two, but the Cranberries are really good. I guess this is just one of those different strokes for different folks kinda thing, since they're nothing like Nickelback. Besides watching Dolores try to dance from the 90's till the last couple of years when I saw them live is quite humorous.
