besides google wallet (no surprise why apple don't want that), what is NFC used for? never once have i said, "no, don't give me your business card, let's touch phones"
not really implemented too many places. You won't miss it for a year or two. Apple knows this. Will release it in iPhone 6 or 7 and call it "Super Wireless" or something.
I will probably try out the Nokia when it comes. Might even jump on it if the picture quality delivers..
I don't think your are correct. NFC is going to be huge. NFC can also connect to your wireless speaker, share files etc, its not just for Electronic Wallet use..
Where's the forward and innovative thinking here? Everything is going digital and moving to our phones/devices. Once retailers and such catch up, that's how it is. Honestly, when's the last time you HAD to use cash...if you aren't on Bellaire the cash-only place hahah? Cash you have to get it from the bank, or you can just use this plastic thing in your wallet that automatically draws from your funds. Is it that farfetched that we will want to not carry a wallet and use our devices for this? Better stay charged, b/c you don't want a dead phone when asked for your ID haha.
it may be huge but for a now, it's not there and won't be there for a while. Certainly not before they come out with their next upgrade
+1. And I am not even some apple supporter...but I just haven't' seen a phone/OS out there that does what does iOS does better.. ex. windows phone can't even adjust the volume of ringer separately from the music volume.. how irritating is that?
That is frustrating. I will admit that... but really, is that a merit to not get a phone? There are a lot of little things that bug me on all platforms. At least MS is trying to put in new features, they are trying to change the user experience and improve it. I just don't see how the iPhone 5 steps in that same direction. iOS is good, but come on, complacency is how you get a form of Vista on your hands.
Well I guess I'm weird with you. I'm a Google fanboy and don't even like Apple, but I'm actually considering an iPhone based on size alone! These Android phones keep getting larger and larger... How in the world are these things supposed to fit in my pocket?! Has the world started wearing JNCOs again and no one told me? Apple has nothing on Android and Windows phones regarding specs and features, including this new release... but we're talking about phones here--not home computers--I just want it to fit in my pocket!
Most of the people complaining in this thread aren't interested in Apple products and their expectations are ridiculous. They want change for the sake of change. This is "innovation" to them.
Do other phones currently have something like Siri? Like I said, I have the 4, so I don't either, but I'm looking forward to it on the 5. Is it worth getting hyped about after the new upgrades from iOS6?
