If Brandon Pettigrew doesn't drop a TD, he has a decent game.

Jay Cutler is coming off a game against last years worst team (they gave up the 2nd highest QBR last year).

St. Louis meanwhile was a decent team against the pass last year and has a new HC that is highly regarded in Jeff Fisher.

Even stars are going to throw clunkers, but they rarely throw two in a row.

It has been one week. Cutler has been around long enough to prove he isn't elite.

I only carry 1 QB, and that is because I will always play the wrong one if I have 2.

What was Stafford's 2011 ADP? I ended up taking a flier on him in the 13th. Hindsight is 20/20, but the smart play would've been trade Rivers before everyone realized how bad how dropped off.

Cutler or Vick? Such a hard decision to make.

I have Cutler or RG3 as my backup to Vick in nearly every league I'm in and I'm playing both of them over Vick this week.

Also - hope some of you learned your lesson about trying to play a RB just because he's spot starting. Redman and Ronnie Brown = chumps.

I have Cam and Cutler and although i'm not a cutler fan he can put up big numbers. The problem with those guys is they have bad turnovers. Cam had a bad week last game but I still think i'm going with him against the saints ...although that defense does seem to cause turnovers.

I do think Cutler will put up big numbers on GB though

Cutler trying to run Mike Martz offense = turnovers.

Last season his turnovers were way down.

    pick 1 WR:

    Nelson v CHI
    Bowe @ BUF
    Wayne v MIN

Also, would you flex any of these guys over Alfred Morris @ STL? Standard league.

I'd go Cobb especially if Jennings is out. I would probably play him even if he did play.

    Nelson.

I don't know if I'd flex Nelson over Morris though. That STL matchup is nice.

Not quite sure whether I should start Jones-Drew or Doug Martin this week, thoughts?

MJD plays against the Texans, while Martin goes up against the Giants.

I'd play MJD this week. The Texans D is good but not unbeatable like the Niners against the run. Texans are more of a get to the quarterback-pressure defense.

I thought Martin did good against a stout Carolina front 7, while DeMarco Murray eventually found success against the Giants after a lot of short gains in the first half.

I think both backs will have similar days, maybe 80 yards and a touch.

Pretty much standard scoring league, I have Welker and plenty of WR help and desperately need a RB. I am kind of thinking Welker will have a big down year now and regret the pick and I am thinking of proposing Welker for Stephen Jackson. is that crazy or a decent trade for both sides?

    I was offered this trade

    Giving up
    Jay Cutler
    Darren Sproles
    Titus Young
    James Jones

    Receiving
    Eli manning
    Larry Fitzgerald
    Roy Helu
    Philadelphia Def

I'm think I'm gonna accept but still debating.

    Team 1:

    QB: Brady, Schaub
WR: Mike Wallace, Demaryius Thomas, Antonio Brown, Torrey Smith, Randall Cobb
    RB: Lynch, Bradshaw, Dwyer
    TE: J. Graham, Pettigrew
    49ers D
    Akers K

Who should I flex in? Say Jennings is out, should I flex in Cobb or my other WR.

    Team 2:

    QB: Romo, Big Ben
WR: Cruz, Maclin, M. Austin, Cobb, Blackmon
    RB: Foster, Lynch, K. Smith
    TE: Gates, Tamme
    K: Crosby
    D: Jets

Same thing here. If Maclin doesn't play flex in Cobb? Any other tweaks appreciated as well.

first time commish on yahoo. is there a way to expedite a trade? i think one player in the trade has a game tomorrow, and it looks decently fair.

I'd go with Martin too. Though this flies against the face of conventional wisdom which states you start your studs.

In reality you need to find a way to start BOTH OF THEM. Use one as a flex if you have to.
