Didn't read what I said huh. I can win and was top 200 in previous games, with 40+ win streaks, but it's not satisfiying to me anymore. I see it as a waste of time to play hours vs. kids that play cheesy, I mean why play vs. these guys when it's not really fun or realistic? Don't have too much time and really toned the gaming down, so when I face a cheeser I quit the game and move on. "Adapt or lose"...why should I adapt to lil b!tches playing dumb when it gives me nothing, it's just a video game and I don't gain anything. The reason for gaming should be fun, but playing vs. these people is no fun. If you spend hours adapting your playing style, only to win vs. strangers, I don't see the reason why you do it. You prove nothing and could've spent the time playing vs. someone who loves basketball and plays right.
What do you mean chill? I never pointed YOU out, I only quoted you to confirm what you were saying. It's too many other things to focus on other than some cheesers dream team mode, which 2k isnt interested in doing either just so it can continue. ....but if you arent buying because of this one mode, that's your loss.
You act like 2k is bashed year after year. The only year of mediocrity was 2k12, and it was still a great game.
Bashed every single launch, October and November the 2k forums are imploding because of the hundreds of threads pointing out the online issues and bugs.

While I think that Yung-T's expectations for a sports video game are unrealistic, it would be sooo much more enjoyable if, somehow, cheesing was limited. There's nothing wrong with wanting to play a realistic game online as Yung wants, but it takes 2 to tango. I don't play much online because of that, but I play enough offline to get my money's worth. If you only played online, I could see how one would find 2k annoying.
Not blamin 2k for it jank, just sayin that I can't play anymore because the community is filled with cheesers that destroy the experience for me. Game could be perfect in every other aspect, still wouldn't buy because online is the main thing for me. What I do blame 2k for is that 2k8 had an awesome lobby system where you could look at your opponent's w/l and reputation, that way you could avoid the biches. Why did they pull lobbies and that system out of the game?
I got you Yung. I just gave up online all together. In the CF online association it was even tough because it took too long with 20+ user controlled teams and a few cheesers ruins everything. I probably would not buy the game if I played online more than 25% of my gameplay unless I was in an online association with people who knew were not cheesers.
Anyone have an idea of when the demo is coming out for Xbox? I have the game already pre-ordered through Amazon.
Okay let's analyze your previous post, so that you can get what I mean: 1: So you say you can win, it must have taken hundreds if not thousands of hours to be "top 200" with "40+ win streaks." The amount of time it would take to get to that level leaves me with the feeling that you were quite dedicated to the game. For somebody so dedicated, It doesn't logically make sense to me that you would see it as a "waste of time to play hours vs. kids that play cheesy" since that's probably what you had to do to get these rankings. Also, a general comment: Kids have always played cheesy; it's not like the introduction of a new 2k just opened the floodgates of people playing "cheesy." NBA 2K is a video game and as such it will always have gameplay like that of, you guessed it, a video game. Why would you play when it's not really fun? I don't know, maybe because you really wanted to crack that top 100, and maybe because you didn't want to see your hundreds(thousands?) of hours down the drain. You completely missed it. I said in previous 2ks, not in 2k12. I gave up playing competitive probably around 2k11 and have played like 2 games per week since then. In 2012 I probably played 10 games. I've come to the conclusion that it's a huge waste of time and that's why I wrote what I wrote. Where do you come from with the assumption that I struggle or lose against cheesers, I nowhere said that and even contradicted your point to the fullest with my statements. You completely miss my point here, I gave up on playing games in a overly competitive manner and realized it's a complete waste of time. This has nothing to do with losing, I never said that I am frustrated or struggling against them. I don't feel good beating somebody in a video game nowadays, unless we both play sim to the fullest and respect eachother. Really don't get why you make this huge post based on nothing and void assumptions or interpretations. Short transcript: Was super competive and one of the top players in the world, realized it's all bullish and gives me nothing, stopped and now only play vs. sim guys because that'S the only way I have fun.
That's the one thing I've always disliked about 2K. They tend to release the demo's later and later and too close sometimes to the release date. Hope it is next week though.
I wasn't specifically talking about 2k12, just 2k in general. My thing is I just don't understand your disdain for the game, I just don't. That's why I targeted you. I don't actually think you're bad at the game, because to be in the top 200 you probably had to be pretty good. I just don't get why people playing "cheese" makes you hate the game so much. In my opinion the upcoming 2k is going to be the best basketball game ever made, and I am quite excited about all of the modes and features it will have as well as the improved gameplay. I just don't get why you had to come in here and **** on it, that's all.
I think it may be next week... it was Sept 14th last year so this next coming week would give us about 2 weeks while the game goes gold to get used to the new controls.
I havent really noticed too much of a controls difference until last year when they took out the hopstep/stepback maneuver and added the shotstick-crossover control work.
One of the big selling points this year in regards to controls is the responsiveness of them. Apparently they fixed the slight lag on any of your commands, and I think that's huge.
"Cheese" is entirely subjective. Maybe they were just playing good basketball? Maybe your defense sucks?
Dumbest thing people complain about is when "people just use their stars to score all the points" 1. Play some defense 2. The Stars are expected to score a majority of the points in 2k. 3. Play some defense
