Yeah I don't like CJ2K but someone cheated me into trading McCoy for him knowing it'd comeback to bite me the following year due to keepers.
I'm happy with McCoy. I'm also happy that thanks to Malcom Floyd I came back to beat Fade in our other league although Rice and the Baltimore D had a huge game. A 2 point win is still a win. BTW- Anyone notice Yahoo has a recap of each teams games for each week? Pretty cool.
You guys, here is how we will do the waiver wire process for this season - this website does not make it easy, so please be patient - if you want to see anything different, let me know NOW. For this first week, we will do waiver claims Wednesday afternoon, to give people time to put their claims (if you need to see which ones you have done, go to your panel, press Pending to see what you have already done) and make sure they are in their right order, before they are processed. Waiver Wire Process: 1. Once the first game starts that week, you can no longer add players to your roster - you can put in a waiver request that will be executed (based on waiver positions) on the following Tuesday evening. The one exception, pertains to Thursday night games, up until first game on Sunday you can put a claim in on a player that did not play on Thursday to fill a roster spot, but cannot drop players or place on IR any player that played Thursday to facilitate that waiver addition. 2. The waiver order is reset each week after all the games, based on record and then based on points. 3. When putting in a claim for the player, you need to enter them in from first priority to last – as I have a time stamp to when they were entered. 4. On Tuesday evening I will go through the waiver claims, the ones where there is no competition for a player, will go through first. 5. After that we will go through the waiver order to determine how the other players are claimed, starting with the first on the list and their first claim, and so on and so on. 6. After Tuesday evening, then adds/drops open freely for everyone up till the first game that week. 7. If for some reason, the FF software we are using doesn't do it right and allows adds/drops to happen outside of these rules, I will make the appropriate changes back, so that the rules are followed correctly. Next season, we will do this completely different, we will instead give everyone $100 play money where they can bid on players each week, highest bid wins....if you use all your money up, you are left with only $1/bids going forward. The bids will be processed on Tuesday, adds/drops after that - eliminate this waiver wire process mess...........
You guys made this a nightmare................some of you have 4-5 claims in for the same guy, sometimes with different players to drop....will have to figure this out...........be patient.
I don't think you will want to do the claims with no competition first, as that might be a backup claim for a manager who was expecting not to get his first claim, and had a backup plan, likely dumping the same player in each waiver claim. But if he does get his first claim in that system you described, then the player to be dumped will no longer be there. So it would be impossible for him to make the claim for the competitive bid even though that was his first choice. For example: Claim 1: Tony Romo and Waive Santonio Holmes Claim 2: Joe Joe Dancer and Waive Santonio Holmes Claim 3: Mike Tyson and Waiver Gregory Hines Claim 4: Ryan Fitzpatrick and Waiver Santonio Holmes In your system, if no-one competes for ryan Fitzpatrick, you would execute the non-competitive claim for Fitzpatrick first. Waiving Holmes. But then it would be impossible to execute the first waiver for Tony Romo because Holmes no longer may be waived. So I think you need to go in order. One by one. Execute the clains. And then see if the non-competitive claim can be executed. And in this case execute his first claim first. Thus making it impossible to execute the 4th claim for Ryan Fitzpatrick unless he has roster spot available for that claim.
Claims have been done for this week, any adds and drops from here to gametime, will be processed on a first come basis. There are a couple of teams that have 21 players on their roster (which is allowed with one on IR) - need to make sure that is correct or I will have to drop someone for you.
Thanks for the work Rook. Maybe we should look at ESPN or Yahoo next year? We can still do an offline draft and it will take a lot of headaches away from you as commish. I know it's a thankless job.
Man, if CUTLERY has another half like this.......4 for 9 for 40yds and an interception, I am screwed, week will be over before any of my players get a chance to play, not fair.................
