Lol, I heard Le Bac is far worse than IB and the inane drawl of things like TOK. Plagiarism and cheating was rife and to this day the top students of the program have not produced an individual thought. Conversations consist of lying about inherited businesses, whining over ex-gfs, name dropping and expecting me to introduce them to girls. Of course, I practically invented place dropping, but atleast I do it in style instead of talk about the palm oil exports of the region.

    **** that ****, I ain't listening!

Not really, it's more about time management than actually thought.

Thinking about it now- much of my education for the last 13 years was regurgitation,

just my experiences...fairly certain some members might be unfamiliar w/it & been interested enough to wiki. I don't know what the other tests are you refer are like, but certainly don't think the bac the hardest, simply the only one i was faced w/taking.

What next are we measuring Doc?

1980 out of 2400 (which is apparently proportional to 1320 out of 1600)
I didn't study because honestly I saw no point. Top 8% rule in Texas really didn't help motivate me.

In my opinion its just 9th-10th grade level content with a time limit.
Definitely easier compared to my AP exams.

Yeah, I learned everything covered on it in middle school.

    It's definitely no APUSH exam.

Our school lets us take only 2 AP classes (and exams) per year. 4 on APUSH and 5 on Lang. Currently enrolled in Govt and English Literature

Because the SAT is just another stupid hurdle in life that's put there by the Man.

Also, I'm 50 and don't give a damn. It has absolutely no bearing on who I am or what I do.

They can't actually prevent you from taking the tests if you choose to self-study, can they?

My view, SAT, GPA, getting into good school and etc. doesn't measure your intelligence. However, I would say it does measure your ability which is more important. A hard working person willing to do the work and be serious enough to get a score to get into the school they want will likely to work hard to succeed professionally.

The scores of the people voting in this poll are way higher than that of the general population, I am guessing people who have real low scores aren't voting. ;)

That makes sense, as the ACT is a much easier form of the test.

I only put my lowest score from the first time I took the SAT on the poll. In the end it didn't matter. I knew what school I wanted to go to, and wasn't worried about the score I needed. Once there I did well enough with my grades.

Like rimrocker said, it doesn't really have anything to do with who I am today. If I really cared at all, I wouldn't vote, just because it's silly to sit around talk about anyone's SAT scores that isn't currently a high school student. What you learn in college is way more important.
