I'm being offered Cam Newton and Steven Jackson for Brees. The same guy is also offering Forte and Miles Austin for Brandon Marshall and Lynch My other RBs are DeAngelo Williams and Stewart and Gerhart And WR I have Cruz and Welker. Not sure what to do.
I have Peyton Manning as my starting QB and Sanchez as my backup. Should I... capitalize on Sanchez's good week and try to trade him for a top WR now(I am weak at WR)? Or should I hold on to him even longer until other QBs around the league deal with injury and poor performance and command a higher asking price?
I don't think anyone is going to offer up any better than a WR4 for Sanchez right now unless your in a 14+ team league.
Find the guy with Fitzpatrick and see what he'll give you. Or maybe it would be better to wait until a starter goes down with an injury, then you have more leverage.
If he needs help at RB why would he shed his number 1 RB for a number 2 running back at best? And on top of that he's getting rid of the better player between Marshall and Austin. I'd do the 1st deal if you had to act on any of them. But if I were you I'd hang tight and see what Lynch does at full strength before dumping him after the first game of the season. You can probably find someone off the waiver wire as opposed to losing your best players in a trade that brings you marginal talent.
Since when is Forte a number 2 RB? I don't know about you, but I'd take Forte over Lynch any day of the week.
Since Michael Bush vultured 2 TDs to Forte's 1. At least you know Lynch is going to be present at the goal line after the team just drove 80 yards down the field. 45 of those which Lynch accounted for (example). Forte's value was centered around him being the #1 and only option in Chicago for the past few years. Now that they've upgraded with the likes of Marshall, Bush, and Jeffery there is too much talent for Forte to remain a #1 fantasy back. Lynch >>>>>>> Forte any day.
Forte in a standard league? Sorry, I don't like Michael Bush TD vulture hanging around. Still a pretty good RB, but so is Lynch.
Even with the vulturing, Forte still had a number 1 RB day as well as outperforming Lynch. His pass catching ability will always make him more valuable than Lynch. And I seriously doubt Bush will end up with twice as many TDs at the end of the year.
Nah, just have never done FFB before. That said, my team kicked ass this week racking up a 192.1 to 119.83 win.
That was one game. Overall value Lynch will outperform Forte (given he stays/gets healthy) this season. His pass catching ability came from the Bears not having any wide receivers whatsoever... Earl Bennett, Johnny Knox, ROY WILLIAMS... As I said his fantasy value even in PPR leagues takes a hit with how talented the team made itself this past offseason. I seriously believe Bush will have over a 2:1 ratio of TDs over Forte, that's the entire reason behind bringing him on. Forte was never a TD machine around the goal line even when he was the number 1 back. I took AP in the late first over Forte and Lynch, that tells you a lot about what I think of those two, but having a choice between them in most formats I'd go with Marshawn.
