I had to miss a lot of the game -- did Mercilus see any playing time and if so how did he look?

No kidding. If he keeps up having this lame production every game, he'll only have 1264 yards, with 32 TD ... LOL

We just expect him to have 180 yards with 3 TD's every game now .. Just kinda spoiled now

Beat soundly when? I didn't see any big Dolphins pass plays and I certainly saw him cover well when thrown at.

In some ways the game was closer than the score would indicate. Thankfully, Tannehill was the gift that kept on giving. Schaub and AJ were sharp, Watt is amazing, but there is obviously work to do. The "slow" start brings back bad memories. I really want to beat Jacksonville next week, I seriously don't like them.

Did the usual fail to turn around on a pass play to Hartline who made an over the shoulder catch.

I'm not going to fault him for having a catch made on him.. its the technique he employs that won't allow him to cover guys for long without being exposed. Quality offenses/QBs/WRs WILL gameplan to expose him. We just have to ensure our D-line and LB's don't allow the QB to get to that point.

If he played he was a ghost. I don't think his name was mentioned once.

Very underwhelming win but still encouraged that we didn't play our best and still won by 20. Special teams did suck though. Trindon Holliday wtf?

Just went through this thread during the first half stretch....good thing I wasnt reading this while the game was being played. Never seen so many annoying, knee jerk reaction posts.

Run defense worries me a bit...run offense worries me a bit...special teams worries me a bit. But we still won by 20.

    Good win, as expected.

Poor special teamx play and the offense came out sluggish, but other than that solid effort. This team just needs to stay healthy.

I'll take a 20 point win anytime, and I'll be happy with it. I'm not going to nitpick on every little thing the first game of the year. Texans know they have things to work on, but they did what they needed to do to come away with an easy win. I'll be happy with another 20 point win next week also, no matter how they get it done.

A little disappointed in run offense and run defense. Pass offense looked great besides for a couple of drops. Pass defense was good.

Watt was Mr. Big Play. Enjoyed game.

I love how everyone completely ignored the multiple trolling attempts by the Kubiak hater. Nice work guys.

Great win after a shaky start. The last few minutes of that 2nd quarter was a hell of a lot of fun to watch. To top off the good day, my wife won an autographed JJ Watt pic today when we were out watching the game :) .

Foster's talent is in finding seams and bolting through them.

Tate can do that, too, but Foster's got better talent for it. But Tate is better at punching it through a pile for a couple of crucial yards.

And Kubiak continues to show me that he's clueless about when to use which RB for the given circumstances.

First-and-goal from the two, and we settle for a field goal?! We can only get away with that against the lower-tier teams.

The dolphins said they defeated themselves more than being defeated by the Texans, and I agree. If it had not been for their turnovers, I feel we would have gotten our butts whipped.

longtime texans fans know kubiak is not a great head coach but he's a mastermind on the offensive side.

since we got wade to take care of things on the defensive side, fans criticize kubiak a little less.

disagree. His talent is in making tacklers miss with good footwork. Tate's specialty is breaking tackles which accomplishes the same thing.

Great word. "Underwhelming". Except for the last few minutes of the first half, the Texans were not overly effective.

Shiet, next week is MJD. Running defense will be tested next week.
