The USA dominance of tennis is OVER, the europeans are making their mark BIG TIME, it has long since begun on the mens side, and when Serena is gone. The same will be said. Serena is beating players like Sharapova and Azarenka and others who could easily have 4 or 5 slams, Sharapova maybe 8 or 9( if Serena is not around)

Steffi benefited greatly from the Monica Seles stabbing( ugh i hate bringing that up).

But Serena is the WTA GOAT, you can check respectable websites, and her WTA Tennis average is #1 all-time Graf is #2.. thats the biggest assesment of whose greater, that average takes into account strentgh of fields and schedule.

 

It is close in fact, being number 1 that many weeks means nothing, if you are playing againist a weak field. Their are players playing today that would smoke a prime Chris Evert, and Steffi Graff. The Womens Game has moved to more or a power game, and not that soft stuff back in the day

these younger players were influenced by the Williams Sisters.. Sharapova fathers admitted that he changed Maria style at young age to mirror Venus Williams. The game is more of a POWER game on the womens side

#3 You know whats funny, not only is Prime Serenas serve better than Steffi, but her foreheand is as well. The only thing you can claim Steffi had over Serena is that she was a better mover..(but thats also due to injuries).

#4 You cant dispute that the current POWER players on the WTA would mop the the floor with Evert and those weak serve and volleyers, they sent Hingis packing in tears... she was the last of a dying breed. Her only only leftover seems to be Radwanska

#5 Serena would have 20 slams if not for losing to her sister in finals, and being cheated out of 2 more by crooked umps. Serenas mental game is top-notch. She may not be better than some of the players she is beating at this stage of her career, but a lot of these power bashing euros are such headcases( they usually giftwrap her the match.. with double faults, or UE's)

OK so "brute" force as you call it is what makes Hingis and Seles greater. If you knew anything about tennis, you would know that Seles was the first of her kind to bring POWER to the womens side, and would routinely kick Graf's ass until her unfateful stabbing

Graf would struggle againist Serena, especially a prime Serena. Serena can play at an unreal level when she is on. Did you watch her career, or better yet the Olympics.. and not just the dance( that was so talked about). She beat the top 3 players on the womens side in a ROW, in dominant fashion. That is coming of the heels of just winning Wimbledon 2 weeks earlier.

but whenever someone mentions a black athlete being the best in a sport other than basketball its always an issue... its hype... ITS FACTS
