you guys can sugar coat it and says it doesn't matter. It's just a friendly. You never want to lose to these guys. No matter what.

If the Rockets were playing Utah, or Dallas in some preseason game in New Mexico or St Louis or whatever, or home or on the road, I want them to crush them no matter what.

I already said they won fair and square and I am with you on THEY SUCKED. I can vouch for this, we're glad it wasn't something that "truly" counted, and, still... it feels like it did. They didn't have "a bit" of luck, they had LOTS of it, but it was really SHEA and BEASLEY out there wreaking havoc amongst some youngster defense. It just clears their dark cloud of never beating us at home... mainly 'cuz most of the games we've played in the last 20 years have been in the U.S. and A. and nothing much more than that.

So cute. It's like we Americans got our own one game Gold Cup/Euro/ hell WORLD CUP thanks to the coverage of national sports networks.

Let's be real. Nice to get the monkey off the back. It'll be really nice when it matters for at least a little something more than our own personal history of inability to perform.

Hey El Tri apologists, admittedly I am semi-new to soccer....but last I checked they don't give the win to who completes the most 10 yard passes, or has the best of the possession....it's all about putting the biscuit in the basket as they say in hockey n'est ce pas?

GOAL.COM's headline makes me laugh...

    Who cares about their "dual-nationality"?

    http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/66/u...c-heavy-lineup-bites-back-at-el-tri-in-mexico

Does anyone really believe that this handful of "Mexicans" would make it in El Tri had they chosen to play as Mexicans? I don't think so. Without biased answers, be honest... they wouldn't make it. Anyway, the USA TEAM won. It was mostly Shea and Beasley doing the running and gunning.

It seems like half the roster has dual nationalities.

I hate the rules of FIFA, they're so stupid. If you were born in the United States, you should be playing for the United States. The hell if your parents were born in a foreign country. There are exceptions. And it's all the German guys on the team. I believe they were born/grew up on US bases.

Stuart Holden is a naturalized American. He basically grew up here. So that's fine too.

Could the Mex-Amery run with the Mex-Mex? I don't know, I don't watch enough Mexican soccer to answer.

I'm asking about only what you have seen as far as the Mexican current players versus the U.S. current players at the same positions... maybe Hércules Gomez... only... and if anything, Torres... at his best... but the others, NO.

i agree with swoly, most if not all of the players wouldn't make the mexican nt squad. but that doesn't mean they are not good players. i mean if you get called to your national team that means you are a very good player. the issue for these players is that some nations have more quality stock so competitions for spots are limited. look at brazil, spain, argentina, etc... they have players with no caps that would start for many nt's.

i always hope that the mexican americans who choose the usa are treated fairly. too often i see most of the blame go towards the mexican americans when the usa loses, some of it gets nasty and racist. that's what bugs me, but if herc is okay with having fans that can turn on him in an ugly way then why should i care.

^ One last point I wanted to make about these "dual-nationals" is that I am willing to bet that come June or August of next year, when hopefully these two teams face each other again, Jürgen isn't even going to take them with him to Azteca again. It's sad, actually, if they're the ones that supposedly helped him beat Mexico at home, they won't even be invited.

Klinnsman keeps trying to find ways to get more defensive midfielders on the field. We couldn't keep possession and we couldn't get the forwards involved, which isn't going to win you any games.

I realize missing Donovan and Bradley hurts our attack, but we should do better than that. At least attempt to have some semblance of an offense.

I didn't get to watch the game. I did hear that Kyle Beckerman gave up one of the fouls that led to a goal. Why in the f*** does he contine to get a spot on this team? He is not at the international level. He's fine for an MLS team. The only reason he should own a national team jersey is if he bought one. I'm tired of seeing him out there constantly 5 steps behind what's going on and constantly giving up stupid fouls.

He actually committed both fouls that led to their goals. And he was in the wall for the first goal and jumped and the ball deflected off his leg.

We should still make it out of our group. Our next two games are at home and the final game is at Antigue and Barbuda. If we drop points in any of those games it could be close though.
