Also, i feel he will be most dangerous in transition. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/pRhK3p5xROw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
At the very minimum, Machado needs to pretend that he isn't jealous and resentful of Lin WHEN HE'S ON THE COURT - just enough to play team sport. Machado should learn from how Carmelo handled himself (and NOT copy him). Carmelo isn't very liked by many because he let his jealousy show and affect the team negatively. It IS true that Carmelo was triumphant in getting people he hated disappear, BUT THAT'S BECAUSE he is a superstar with a long-term max-contract (thus he has a clout and owns a bit of Dolan)..... Machado, work and train hard and be a teammate both on the court and locker room (other *offcourt* is your business), then get a fat long-term guaranteed contract before acting like a diva.... Some people (before having top contracts) had been "politely" traded because of their attitude problems - and not to their preferred teams.
Machado signed, Diamon Simpson waived [chron] http://www.chron.com/sports/article/Rockets-sign-G-Machado-3848918.php HOUSTON (AP) — The Houston Rockets have signed Scott Machado, who led the nation in assists last season with Iona. The 6-foot-1 Machado played well on the Rockets' summer league team, averaging 8.0 points, a team-high 5.6 assists and 2.2 steals in five games. He closed summer league play by leading the Rockets with 20 points and six assists in a 96-88 win over Chicago. Machado, a rookie free agent who averaged 9.9 assists as a senior, averaged 12.2 points, 6.7 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 132 games over four seasons at Iona. Machado is the Gaels' career leader in assists (880) and ranks 17th in NCAA history. The Rockets announced they have waived forward Diamon Simpson.
The waiving of Simpson means one of two things: (1) The team is doing Simpson and his agent a "solid" and allowing him out of his NBA contractual commitment (which had no chance of turning into a regular season roster spot) in order to allow Simpson to pursue a real gig overseas. or (2) The team needs the roster spot for someone else, either a free agent signing or as part of a trade (they were at the maximum 20 spots with the Machado signing, so waiving Simpson brings them down to 19, allowing for one more player to be added). I think (1) is the more likely reason over (2), unless they are adding another rotational player (a la Carlos Deflino). I wouldn't exactly be holding my breath waiting for a big trade or free agent signing at this point. (That said, I could definitely see the Rockets using the open roster spot on another non-guaranteed "camp fodder" player who perhaps plays a position of need . . . for purposes of practices in training camp.)
body similar to Lowry... no homo i also liked the videoo coach showed of his D he could be Jeremy Lin redux, and Morey didnt wanna let that happen again lol
He hasn't even touched an NBA court yet. He has nothing to do with Carmelo Anthony. Did you start following basketball when Jeremy Lin played for the Knicks?
It's nice to know machado gets so much hope and enthusiasm while Lin is overrated and to many in here, has reached his ceiling and can't improve. Nice to know there's less hope with Lin.
napalm_black: "He hasn't even touched an NBA court yet." Exactly my point! Yet he has already acted like an opponent hater from another team! napalm_black: "He has nothing to do with Carmelo Anthony." Oh yes he does! 1) They are both black and many black people hate Lin because they are in Carmelo's camp (that's why there are people like that on this board). 2) Machado is a long-time knicks' fan from NY. 3) Machado went to Iona college from NY and had hoped to play for the Knicks. I hope he will be able to before too long; it's also a bigger stage. napalm_black: "Did you start following basketball when Jeremy Lin played for the Knicks?" Did you start hating Lin just because Lin made Carmelo jealous? Lin just did his job! You guys repeat this same quote over and over again, just like repeating Stephen A. Smith's sayings against Lin over and over....
He didn't act like an "opponent hater". Please explain how he did. He said he thinks his game is better than Lin's and wants to prove it. Pretty arrogant, but I'm not going to waste time 'hating' him yet. He also said he would back up Lin. That implies that I started hating Lin. I don't hate Lin, especially not for irrational reasons like your hatred for Machado. Could you answer my question now? I haven't said anything negative about Lin. This is a Machado thread. My point all along is that people around here seem to hate Machado, and it's because they're indignant Lin fans. It's petty. I'm starting to think we should create a Lin-only section of Clutchfans for people like you to post in.
Yup! You started following Bball during Linsanity. Nope! Being black, living in NY, and dreaming of playing for Knicks doesn't automatically make him a Lin hater. Yup! You are a racist and have a serious case of paranoia. Stop with this B S and go to one of the Lin's Fan forums. You will not run into any Lin haters there.
