We have 5 to choose from. Predict which one(s) will be participating in this years Rookie All-star festivities. At least one of them will.
For me it is a hard choice out of Lamb, DMo and Jones, but i'll go with Lamb.
Who do you think will make it?

When you say "Rookie All-star festivities", that means the Rising Stars Challenge on Friday night, right?

Surely you cannot mean that Lamb will play on Sunday in the real All-Star game.

Stop avoiding the question. There's a big difference between Friday night and Sunday afternoon.

EDIT: because only Sunday counts when people say All-Star

I'm not avoiding the question. If the thread is asking about "rookie" all-star festivities, then that automatically excludes the actual all-star Sunday. Is there not such a thing as a Rookie all-star?

It has to be someone who'll get minutes, and whose position isn't crowded among rookies.

The team still has Martin. So Lamb is unlikely, IMO. At the very least, Beal and Waiters (Wizards / Cavs) will get more burn in the first half of the season. Possibly Terrence Ross in Toronto too.

Royce White seems to lack a reliable jumper atm.

Which leave either Terrence Ross or Donatas. They are merely competing with Patterson on the Rockets.
Of other rookie PFs, Anthony Davis will play at 5.
Thomas Robinson (Kings) seems extremely likely to get major minutes and have impact. Other than that? Sullinger? Henson?

All in all, there seems to be 1 wide open spot for a Rockets PF in the rookie game.
Donatas or Terrence Jones, i don't know. I'd guess Donatas now, but I'm a homer there.

So Jeremy Lin is a Sophomore all-star since he played in the Friday night game in 2012? Sounds pretty stupid to me.

Only guys who play on Sunday get to be called All-Stars.

the thread title is misleading, but the post itself says "Rookie All Star festivities." It seems fairly obvious.

Stop trying to attract attention to yourself and cause a conflict where it isn't needed. The question is self-explanatory. Of course he meant the Rising Stars Challenge and not the actual ASG.

Back on topic, I would say Motiejunas but Lamb is a close second.

The first question to ask is... What rookie is most likely to start and be a key contributor?? The NBA voters are only going to vote in someone that is playing heavy minutes, if not starting for their team.

Lamb should be that guy IF Morey is able to trade Kevin Martin before the season starts. I don't think thats as likely as you might think.

Other than the potential for Lamb to be that guy you are looking for someone to win minutes in the big man rotation of Asik/Patterson/?

Not sure who is going to step up out of that mix of big men rookies, but I wouldn't be shocked if Terrence Jones is that guy.

So... there actually is a possibility that none of the Rockets rookies make the cut. However, its a no brainer for Parsons to get the nod for the Rookie/Sophomore game. Lin also has a good shot of making the all-star game as the backup PG.

Whoever shoots three pointers the most. They'll be unstoppable. Smchtty.

It's lamb hands down. T-jones and dmo are too weak. Royce struggles to make lay-ups. My Sleeper is Machado.

You don't necessarily have to be good be in the Shooting Stars competition. Game is in Houston, you know Kenny Smith and some current Rocket with be repping H-Town.

I would think Lin's chance at the all star game is as a starter, since the starters are voted on by China - I mean the fans.
