Thanks Mkieke. I miss DD. I know he had some crazy obsessions with some scrubs, but badlee is just obsessed with anyone who hasn't proven themselves in the NBA.

I keep going cause I know I'm putting out facts here. I've got feedback and rep from members about the great CLUTCHFAN data I brought from the actual true events.

The original argument was not between me and badlee.

I was just noting that, since the past is the past, you can find easily point out who were champions and who didn't even come close.
And yes, there are factors like injuries, etc. But a champion always emerges and the best team always when the pressure is at it's highest.

Think about the Rockets vs Suns in 95. the Rockets were down 3-1 facing elimination, then the Suns couldn't finish them.

They didn't have the heart of a champion.

    SO. MUCH. FAIL.

My goodness, I can't believe someone could fail that hard. This is supposed to be a Rockets fan forum and you don't even know which playoff series it was when the Rockets were humiliated and blown out by 40 in game 7?

you figure in the age of GOOGLE and BING and basketball-reference,
anybody could have figured this out easily.

also, I did put the box score . (Two best players have not gone down).

In this case, the typical Tracy Fan would say sure, Tmac didn't shoot well, but outside Yao, his teammates sucked. Which is true for game 7 since Tmac and Yao were the only ones in double figures.

And Tmac's 37 points in game 6, helped the Rockets get to game 7.The Tmac fan would at least mention that.

This badlee guy obviously never saw the game or was a rockets fan at that time, which is fine. the part that he pretends he knew what happened is the fail.

We are talking about the same one. So what, i was off a digit. Still doesn't change the fact that the series in question was fixed. It doesn't matter who was what and who did what. The ref(Donaghy)even wrote in his book about it. I believe the quote was something like "It didn't matter what the Rockets did, the plan was for them to lose", or something to that effect.
Tinhat is the one who didn't watch the games because any Rockets fan who was within feet of a tv or radio knew the refs were cheating. Hell even the coach(JVG)spoke out about it and was fined!
    Stop avoiding my questions Tinny!:)

LOLwut? Those were rankings before the season started. Top 4 isn't exactly contender status, and if you actually read those rankings you put up, they listed Yao, Tmac and Stromile Swift as the Rocket's big 3. After the first 6 games nobody was talking about him being the missing piece.

I could throw it right back at you though, why are you so adamant he won't be a lesser howard if you haven't even seen the kid an NBA game? The point is NO ONE KNOWS what Jones will be in the future, he can turn into the next flop or he can be a superstar. Badlee himself isn't saying Jones will be a 3x defensive player, he's just saying Jones COULD turn into that. Digging deeper, his projections were actually not Howard-like at all, something like 12 pts and 8 rebs. LOL that's totally achievable, hell Scola put up those numbers in his rookie year.

Why are 99ers the true rockets fans though? Isn't it easier to root for a team when they have an all world player on the roster and they are the defending champs? Look at OKC now when they have KD, Harden and WB on the roster and compare it to the Seattle fans when the Supersonics were rolling around with Rashard Lewis and Ray Allen.

Shouldn't a true fan be a fan regardless of the date, why put the 99er tag there? I could make the perfectly logical argument some 99ers were dudes who became fans because the Rox then were at the top of the food chain and following them was the "cool kid" thing to do, similar to how Boston gained a truckload of fans when KG, Allen and Pierce got together.

They came here because of the Houston Rockets.

Not because their favorite player joined this team, not because they want to troll about LeBron James, etc
