It's not hard to find 15 people anywhere to agree to anything in a 6 second sound byte. If we went to the RNC in a similar fashion and asked about banning labor unions or sending Obama back to Kenya or something similarly ridiculous I doubt you'd have much trouble finding people to agree with you. Who cares?

 

Finding a minority of people who support something so stupid does not make it likely that it becomes part of the Democratic platform.

Oh wait, you meant that Republicans at the RNC favor prenatal rights for fetuses (whom they consider to be humans) conceived - through no fault of their own - during a rape.

 

So you are saying a rapist should be able to choose whether a female is ready to be a mom or not?

 

No. And she doesn't even need to become a mom if she doesn't want to.

 

I was simply stating that the rights aren't being given to the rapist. It's not like the Republican position is that a raped woman needs to get the rapist's permission for an abortion. The position is that abortion is murder regardless of the circumstances of conception and the fetus has rights.

I didn't state my position one way or the other. But since you asked, I'm anti-abortion, but I would allow a rape exception (even though I think that could lead to problems with false accusations of rape if it were the only exception allowed).

 

Why is abortion okay in the case of rape? That fetus is no less a fetus in the case of rape. By the anti-choice logic, that life is still a life so why should rape allow the murder of a child?

 

This has become a pretty common little trick and it always annoys me. It's disrespectful to the idiots you put on camera and dishonest to the audience who watches it. The dishonesty seems so apparent, yet it somehow makes the rounds every time someone puts one together.

I guess you could make an argument that organised religion is a worse evil than rape, murder, child molestation, famine, disease, malaria, H.I.V, war, Nazism, the holocaust, genocide, tsunamis, looting, necrophilia, kidnapping, terrorism, serial killers, abortion, infanticide, slavery, incest, extinction of species, poaching, apartied, racism, assaults....

It would be a weak argument, but that has never stopped people in the past.

Even as a spiritual man I can admit that holy wars, "cleansings"and the like have accounted for more deaths than communism (revolutions started BY PEOPLE). I understand your conviction but it doesn't sound correct.
