He gave up on us when yao wasnt around the final two years. Toronto game was just one instance in many that year when he just flat out quit. why would we want to bring that mentality to our young players?? you dont bring in guys to put on your roster to mentor. with a young team u need those roster spots. coaches are brought in to mentor, Patrick Ewing perfect example. this is all for not anyway bc Tmac still thinks he can play, and will not accept anything less than a significant rotation spot, which he will not have here
Tracy wants no parts of Houston and the feeling is more than mutual. You are dreaming if you believe either side would be up for a reunion.
The Bobcats and TMAC fit just in place as they both never passed the 1st round of the playoffs
I wouldnt say that I believe he still lives in Houston and im pretty sure he would perfer to rejoin the Rockets instead of the Bobcats also
I've wanted him back several times after we traded him. The last time was last year when he was hot with the Hawks. Then, nothing. It's the continuous disappointments and the realization that it's 8 mother****ing years since he first came here that makes me say: I'm done. He was magnificent in his first two years and gave us fond memories through his stay - good and bad. But I'm moving on.
It would be nice. Just be careful to make sure he doesn't already have any under the table offers from other teams. Remember T-Mac's final words for us? I have a feeling that if we make him an offer, HE will turn US down, then join the heat, thereby getting his proverbial last laugh at our expense. T-Mac's BACK!
This is probaly one of the few times where both sides are better off without each other. If he plays for Rockets, he'll sink very deep into the bench like the Hawks and if he doesn't play for Rockets, at least he'll have a chance of a revival with more minutes per game. What the Rockets need is a revival of their assets, not a revitalized TMac. High chance that if TMac comes back, it'll be Steve Francis 2.0 which means fade out. TMac better serve outside looking in and Rockets better serve getting their players to become better.
