Wish the 920 had a microSD slot. I just assumed that would be required for all WP8. Oh well, 32GB and 7GB SkyDrive will be more than enough for me. I just wonder if uploading things to SkyDrive will eat up my data plan.
Hah, I recognize that picture. It's Sutter St. here in SF, between Stockton and Grant. Walk by there every morning on the way to work.
The Samsung Ativ S is looking really good. Basically a metal Galaxy SIII with microSD slot for Windows Phone 8. http://www.samsung.com/global/ativ/ativ_s.html
nokia phones look niiiiice. i just bought 500 stock in nokia. i hope they take off. in saying that im buying a new iphone in a few weeks
so no carrier info, no avail date, no pricing info...what's the fking point of holding these press conferences? just to tease people with random specs? meanwhile apple tells u about their product, when, how and how much..and the when is within a week or two!
For the Lumias: It will be on AT&T. Not sure about Verizon. It won't be on T-Mobile. This is what someone told me by looking at the phone's frequencies. Can't say if it's 100% true.
not true. the specs "he" got are from the nokia global site. so it's the international version. it's missing LTE frequency for any US carrier. http://www.nokia.com/global/products/phone/lumia920/specifications/ look at the Nokia USA site..they left the data section blank. http://www.nokia.com/us-en/products/phone/lumia920/specifications/
well i was all ready to wait for the windows phones but there's one tiny problem for me. I can't live without separate volume controls for media playback vs. ringer. now i gotta decide between staying with ATT for the new iphone or switch to verizon.
Some of the more pedestrian "features" of the new Note 2. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/o8RQy-_P2Dw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
http://www.engadget.com/2012/09/17/lg-launches-optimus-g-flagship-smartphone-quad-core-s4-pro-lte/ LG just launched a beast of a phone. Missing a microSD card slot though. Biggest thing that sucks is probably the price for this international version. It's priced at $895 which is a complete rip off IMO. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/8HAcF5I-gLw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
The iPhone is most definitely still on the top. Their sales are so much greater than any other phone on the market.
Correction: Samsung is RECENTLY on top...but the iPhone 5 is selling at a record pace for smartphones. We'll see what happens in a matter of about a month or so.
So, a question about the Galaxy S3. I've had it for about 2 months and love it. I do notice that it seems to lag for up to 5 seconds when in the text messaging program. I switched from the Samsung keyboard to Swiftkey. Has anyone else noticed this lag? Anyone know of anything that can be done to speed it up? Thanks.
