The RNC played Obama like a fiddle with the Clint Eastwood empty chair act. Obama was scared that cameras would zero in on the thousands of empty seats tomorrow night and it would lend credence to the story about voter enthusiasm waning for the Obama fanboys. Eastwood set all of this in motion last week with the empty chair, forcing Obama to change course and waste millions of dollars on their prep work at BofA Stadium and relocation work. Well played, Mr Eastwood, well played.
He said being in my presence was payment enough, but since I'm a nice guy, I still paid him a little, despite the terrible job he did.
well played indeed Clint Eastwood Gets Cut From Romney RNC Video A video mash-up of speakers from last week’s Republican National Convention does not include an appearance from the “mystery RNC speaker,” Clint Eastwood. The two-and-a-half minute video posted today to the Romney campaign’s YouTube account features former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, VP nominee Paul Ryan and of course, Romney himself, but it leaves out Eastwood’s controversial speech.
deluded but imaginative and entertaining. did you ever think that maybe it was due to the chance of rain not being worth it? did you dream this up yourself or get it sent to you in an e-mail from your buds?
From yesterday -- rain was not a concern. Obviously attendance was not strong enough to paint the false image of support for Obama. Eastwood stared him down... and won. http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-pn-dnc-charlotte-rain-20120904,0,3668931.story Obama’s Thursday address at Bank of America Stadium will go on “rain or shine,” campaign manager Jim Messina.
Wow - so much talent you once had TJ. To see you sinking this low into full on desperate meltdown replaces the once strong disdain I felt for you with bucket-loads of sadness. You poor man.
You just are not a credible person anymore Jorge. You have become a joke here. from the Obama camp: More than 65,000 community members had activated community credentials to attend the event, and another 19,000 people were on a waiting list for the event.
I know the truth is hard for you and your kind to accept. But you'll lead a better, more relaxed life if you just bring yourself to accept it.
Apparently Obama was not only concerned about attendance, but can you imagine if the teleprompter got wet? He'd humiliate himself! A 20% chance of rain was just too much of a risk -- kinda speaks to his intelligence, no?
Eastwood's incontinence was such a masterstroke that no one in the Romney camp is stepping up to take credit. Don't they know that it makes them look disloyal and incompetent?
There 65,000 pass holders and 19,000 on the waiting list. Attendance was not the issue. it's a 30 percent chance.
The GOP would have disregarded public safety and continued with their original plan; no matter how flawed, reckless or impacted by events on the ground.
