seems like there has been 2 things people have wanted to see for the longest time with iphone. 1. a complete re design of the physical phone itself 2. a change in the icons/theme on the software side. neither of those things have happened, in fact i'm not entirely sure they ever will. for all the complaining people do...people still go out and buy the phones like hotcakes each release.
Obviously I can't speak for everybody, but I love their user interface with the icons and I think that ease of use has really helped make iPhones so successful to begin with. They might change it down the road, but I think that's a design that will stay for a while. Physically, the phone needs to change. Obviously, with all of these leaked images, it's looking like there won't be much change except for the screen size, which really, in my opinion, might make the phone harder to hold, but that's a small gripe. I want some different looks and innovation after waiting for 2 years for a new phone. People will surely buy it, but the reaction might not be as great as what Apple might be hoping for.
I'm one of those hoping for a more physically different phone. Perhaps some curves somewhere. I expect it to be better tech, a larger screen, but wanted a more distinctive look. Maybe I'll get some of that feeling when it's in my hand, but the leaked images haven't bowled me over. Having said that, I'll be buying a couple.
how much different can you get honestly? all smart phones are nothing but all screen on one side with a few buttons on the exterior.
They managed to do it for the original iPhone right? And the iPhone 3? And the iPhone 4? Why not the iPhone 5?
there's no one piece of technology that's timeless. 5 years from now we are going to look back and say.."remember when we had to use those thick iphones"...lol.
http://www.imore.com/big-list-ios-6-features if hardware doesn't impress you..there's some changes in iOS that are long overdue.
I'll pass on the new iphone and will wait for the Brand new iphone next year http://techcrunch.com/2012/09/04/fo...ked-image-shows-packaging-for-the-new-iphone/
Honestly, I'm more excited for IOS 6. The new iPhone will probably be cool, but mostly the same design.
Why change the design when your customers have shown you over and over that they'll pay full price for the same thing with minor changes?
Yeah I know. Just ironic. I thought they were innovative. I guess just every once in a while. It's like buying a car each year of a model generation. Doesn't make much sense...
So, with the new data caps via Verizon, in order to keep my unlimited data/texts/phone minutes I'll have to pay the $800.00 outright now? Pisses me off, but I will. I hate my 4. I can't get reception upstairs while my wife's 4s does it perfect. I also want 4G badly.
I guess that's true if your reason for buying a phone is what it looks like instead of what it does. Do people honestly care that much about what their phone's exterior looks like? Weight, dimensions, etc, I understand because it affects functionality. But do people really buy phones based on round edges or buttons in certain shapes or whatever?
Those clever clever Chinese......Chinese gonna Chinese http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/trending-now/did-chinese-company-leaked-photos-copy-unreleased-iphone-165555052.html
Isn't the 4S screen already out to the edge of the phone? I don't see how Apple can just make the screen longer with out giving it some extra width.
