re old guys - indeed.. i'm new here, so it's insanely surprising to me... McAdoo I understand, I think he'd translate today very well and be a top 5 player or so. but there were some top 50 picks that i'm not sure would be top 50 players in today's NBA..
i'm torn. Zo is like a less athletic Dwight but with a jumper and a Jordan attitude. There's some overlapping, but they also compliment each other quite a bit. And Frazier-Jordan-Durant-Zo-Dwight is a very athletic, fast, super defensive lineup with a lot of toughness and many possible mismatches. But I also hoped to pick up a PF who I thought would slip to late 6th. He's a bit better fit but takes away on athleticism, defense and winning experience... And then decide.. But I'm not sure he's slipping past you guys.
Saw the judging with Jamers having Hakeem at PF with Walton at C and they told him Unseld would be a way better fit at PF, so I think we need a natural PF to win the voting, no matter how good we see them fit lol.
well, i'm not sure Bill Russell is a top 6 player today. Maybe, he's an athlete. But top 6 all time... Just in terms of career. I've my doubts about Jerry West or Havlicek, or Stockton going as high as they did.. I don't think Stockton is a better player than Chris Paul. Tmac and Grant Hill so much lower than Glide? And some others. But people have been doing this many times, they know how it's going to be voted, so fair enough. I'd just draft differently. This seems based on career achievements more than game.
I know, people here are crazy with the "natural position" and don't see how it would work. Zo and R-Rob at PF would be matchup nightmares, but I'm kinda scared to do it because of the judging.
