Obama meant his team is a winner like Heats, and Romney is a loser like the game Lin played with Heats back to February. But Obama forgets the fact that Melo was the team leader at that game, and Jeremy Lin was only the 3rd option to score. It's a bad analogy made by a presidential candidate that will trigger angers of sport fans.

It hurts JLin, no matter when the statement was made. In fact, Obama praised Lin after the winning shot vs Raptors, and ironically he made this statement to against Lin. What is Obama's true value? I guess no. As long as he gets to win, he can say anything even it is not true.

Lin shouldn't help Obama to run the '1 is 2 many'.

Shaquille O'neal and his mocking of Yao during his early career disagrees with you.

Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

Do you believe for one second that Shaq is a racist

although i agree it was wrong for him to do, Miley Cyrus and the Spain National Team did the same exact thing years LATER

racism is wrong any way you look at it, but if you think your biggest issue is with blacks you have another thing coming, some of us dont even like ourselves( look at the gabby douglass "hair") situation. I guess i get more defensive on these topics, because i just dont see how you can label blacks racist in todays era. In South Africa( yes for sure)... but thats a 2-way street.

Do you know that their are a blacks would trade their lives in this very second to be an asian, or whatever the OP is. We only seem to make it when we excel in sport, the system is just not i our favor. Their are so many laws besides the obvious ones that young blacks have either not been told or are aware of, that will land them in prison and immediately downgrade them in an already difficult country to progress in

Mayweather is loved by blacks( including me)not because of his antics, but because of how he gamed the system, and stayed true to who he was, which is NOT a thug believe it or not. But the media would have you think different. I dont believe Mayweather is a racist, i dont believe he hates asians, but the media can have you believe that. Just like the media can make you believe that Serena Williams( probably the nicest athlete in the world.... OFF-CAMERA).. is a mean, nasty, monster. Serena Williams is an AMERICAN athlete who has been cheated by umpires, and players and BIG MATCHES( maybe because of the color of her skin... i dunno). But if anyone has a right to be mad on the court its her.

Their was a show on MTV way back called "Punk'D" with Ashton Kutcher, and their was an episode that featured Serena Williams. What i want you to do is find that episode, of course the powers that be, wont ever re-air that episode. Because it destroys their myth of how nice a person Serena Williams is in real-life.

Mayweather donates tons of HIS hard-earned money to charity, he recieves no money from any elites. This is money he himself has made, and look at the background he came from. People get mad at him, for trashing his father... but did you know that when Floyd was 7 his own father used him as a shield when his mother pulled a gun on him. Thats messed up, the media only shows 1 side of the story to atheletes they dont like.

The most famous/violent incident is probably the LA Riots in 1992. You can make a lot of different arguments about what caused those riots, but there was definitely underlying resentment/racism by the Black/Hispanic community against Koreans. This was a good article, written by a non-Korean, about the aftermath in the Korean community. http://articles.latimes.com/2012/may/01/local/la-me-riot-koreans-20120501 There are more recent examples, but the LA riots is a good place to start.

You need to stop living in a bubble. There is a long history of racism in America. Blacks, Whites, Asians, Hispanics, etc. all have been at both sides of the racism table. I hate how people are so quick to the racism trigger today (i.e. Obama isn't racist; his comment was a dumb analogy), but what is worse is people like you who intentionally turn a blind eye to a serious problem in our country.

Just don't like that Obama's statement turns into racial issue. I don't see any racial issue from Obama. Lin was Obama's boy when Lin did the winning shot vs Raptors. However, this statement is bad for a presidential candidate who wants to win and forget what his true value is. Obama had better stay away from NBA with his election, cus he is loosing his faith to Bulls.

    1992.... DAMN

Can i choose 1943 as an option, you see what i did. You must first understand what racism is, racism is being a position of power( which lets face it... in america.. sans Obama)... black are NOT. And using that as a means to prevent you from moving up in the social ladder.

People wanna claim blacks keep making excuses about racism, but even when we make it... LETS FACE IT.. they dont want us living over there with them! Tori Hunter a professional baseball player had the cops try and arrest him in his own house, it wasnt until the cops found out that he was a member of sports team( that they backed away). But what if Tori Hunter... had been lets say..... Proffesor Tori GATES. What would those cops have done( its their word againist a black mans). They have the power, and thats what i meant by racism

    Agreed

I'm not sure why this is even in here, but all I see is 7 pages of political and racial talk....and that's 7 pages too many.
