i think best buy is planning on closing a bunch of stores. i've never had a problem with best buy i think its great for the internet shopper, you do your research yourself and don't get bothered by over agressive salesmen. there are people in this world who are not the geeks you guys are and actually need that person there to walk them through differences in brands and models of various products although that person may always be trying to push them to the higher commission payment.
I find B&M customer service can be more of a hinderance than online CS. If the manager is a dick, then you feel like a fool driving there. OTOH, Amazon knows how to handle their returns. They give you the benefit of the doubt because it makes you want to help them out more (writing reviews, recommending prices to other people, not shopping at ****buy). I don't really care if they win as long as they let me return stuff without paying for the postage and without getting charged a "repackaging fee"
Best Buy is great. They matched my macbook with apple and even threw in a $150 gift card which I turned into amazon gift cards... also just picked up madden 13 for $27 using my rewards certificates.
Nope. Best Buy customer service has always been great for me, so I do not hesitate to shop there. I have never had a problem returning merchandise and they have always price matched after the fact. In addition, after I have bought stuff, and then a week or two later they offer something with purhcase (e.g. sound bar with purchase of TV), they have readily given me the item they were now offering for free. Not sure why you would think I was kidding about the convenient part. Best Buy is much easier for me to get to than WalMart.
Stopped going there when they treat you like a criminal trying to get a price match to a legitimate store. There are way too many reputable online stores to even bother with them.
What she didn't tell you was that you get a free micro-SD when you purchase an Elf 520. She jacked you 12.99! LOL
Wal-Mart probably has the best and easiest return policy of any store (outside of one time I tried to return something, and they made me return it to the store on the other side of town since that is where it was purchased). Customer Service usually blows, but returns are easier.
Customer Service blows and returns are easier because of the same reason. They employ idiotic people.
my worst walmart experience. my cell phone is walmart's prepay, straight talk. i've lost several phones, this last time i bought a phone at the new crosstimbers location. now while in said location the first thing i noticed was that walmart doesn't let their employees dial out. i jumped on the customer service chicks and actually had to apologize to them because didn't understand what they were saying when i wanted to turn my phone on at the desk. so i go home, try to turn phone on through foreign help desk and there is a problem. foreign help desk cannot figure out what problem is, asked me to fax in receipt copy for phone, and still proceeds to tell me it will take up to a week to fix issue. for some reason my dumbarse heads back to walmart with phone and copy, and not original. long story short, walmart employees are being really crappy and basically accusing me of stealing their crappy phone. i ask the one manager who had any sense if i brought back receipt and packaging can they turn the damn phone on. after bringing back everything they finally figured it was either a glich in their system or one of their employees stole a phone and put another back. i never figured out what the problem was but it was a terrible experience.
They are easier because they are supposed to be easier. No receipt, and generally with a 90 day return policy. Trust me that Walmart is well aware that people screw them over all the time on returns. It isn't their stupidity. If anything, stupidity is going to make it harder to return something to Wal-Mart.
What does that mean? Our phones dialed out, and we were specifically required to get back to customers who left us phone numbers.
